I think, a lot of shows have been dealing with EMA lately.

1. Bepanaah dealt with it.

2. SBRK is dealing with it.

3. Zee TV show Kuch To Hai Tujhse Raabta has the similar plot- The daughter there hates her step-mother as per promo. But twist is that her own mother was involved in an EMA with her father & got pregnant while he was still married to his first wife. Father's family threw him out of the house, never accepted his affair & his GF & the child she was carrying & chose to side with their Daughter-in-law instead. The day the girl's parents were about to marry, her mother commits suicide or dies somehow. The girl now knows the truth & regrets behaving badly with the first wife & is apologetic for her behavior. (I watched first episode & then last episode of this show to see the actual story).

So, it seems a lot of shows are delving into various aspects of an extra-marital relationship & its consequences on people around the main pair.

SBRK is the only show dealing with the actual affair & its parallel impact on people around the pair while other shows are dealing with the aftermath of an affair.

Plot building in Dil smbhal ja zaraa was great, not like the poor plot here.

The lead girl was very consistent in her character and behavior (very impulsive as to say) unlike Nandini. Besides, the other guy I think already liked her by the time she married Anant.

Even though the theme of EMA is always uncomfortable to watch but I think that show dealt with it in much better way.

Even Love ka Hai intezaar was dealing with an EMA. The guy was having an affair there frnkly even when he was married and had a daughter and the girl had literally no problem in having an affair. Wife was shown to be an evil person to show them as star-crossed lovers. But of course the affair never ended in marriage and break-up happened in between only. Until last episode they didn't unite.

Dil sambhal ja jhara was actually copied from ishq e memnu which was dubbed of turkish show in that also ema story was handled very carefully if u have not seen that i suggest u plz see the shw im sure u will like it . It is still vry popular in pak and turkey.
