Personally, I think Surbhi was trying to manipulate the sisters into dropping out of the captain race. The fight happened at night and she decided to conveniently talk about this issue AFTER the ball task was done and the sisters were one of the three to be fighting for captainship.

I felt like she was trying to push the sisters into a corner into giving up captainship as she was indirectly insinuating that they will look ridiculous if they win captainship after swearing on their mother like that.
