Questions about divine interventions

I didn't watch any of the Kunal Nandini romance so I don't know why they are called the divine couple. Can someone explain it to me please?

It's just weird to me that the show would purposely muddle their message by showing both couples be divine. In every single current episode they have been hitting us on the face with divinity pushing Kunal/Mauli together and really not wanting Kunal/Nandini. So is God confused, the writers confused or are we confused? 😕
