Hi all,
My name is Mandy and I am a regular in BP forum. Recently mom started watching the show post the big reveal before Mauli. Before that, I have followed the TB articles n from promos more or less got the gist of it. I really tried hard to look at it from an open mind, trying to understand Kunal Nandini relationship. But try as I might I can't find one reason to even make a meek attempt to defend them. Mauli is an ideal wife but I agree that is no reason for a guy to remain loyal to his wife. Because falling out of love doesn't necessarily mean your partner had some flaw in them. Kunal got attracted to Nandini's innocence, something he had never seen in his wife nor in the other women of his life. Both Dida and his mom seem to be strong minded women who never needed protection including his wife. But in Nandini's case, he saw a fragile delicate woman treated badly by her own husband n someone who had zero expectations from anyone. Nandini too for the first time in her life, found someone who genuinely cared for her n for someone who suffered abuse non stop, Kunal's love turned out to be an oasis in a desert.
But I wonder how could Nandini ever betray the one person who held her hand in her darkest hour? It was not Kunal but Mauli. At that time Kunal was only supporting Mauli. They gave in to their feelings despite that being twisted and I can understand that though I can never approve of it.
What surprised me was that despite their betrayal being exposed before Mauli and Kunal's family, they still resumed their relationship. I donno what does that say about Nandini 🤢 Dont get me wrong, Kunal is equally or more responsible for breaking Mauli's heart. But how come Nandini doesn't feel an ounce of guilt for breaking Mauli's heart? Mauli was a part of her life from such a long time. How can she shamelessly pursue this relationship knowing every time she spends time in Kunal's arms, her friend is breaking from within? I get it that she can't stop loving Kunal just out of guilt. But I at least expected her to distance herself from Kunal till the time Mauli herself walked out of their lives. Is this Nandini the same person who could never think of hurting a fly? 😕 Even when Kunal met with an accident, the right thing to do would be to inform Kunal's family n not barge in claiming to be his only family. More than her, Kunal's mom, his dida n his wife have rights on him. I simply cannot relate to her character. If they had shown Nandini to be a selfish person from the start I could still understand this.
I know there are several posts already on this topic but just wanted to express my views on this since I started watching this show recently.
