Yeah, I agree that there are definitely people who might take the context too literally and get affected by the show. It might also be insensitive for people who have also been the victim of ema or marital abuse. But at the same time I believe that the real problem isn't in what they're showing but it's the individuals who take it so seriously that it actually affects their life. That's a real problem because it's not just happening behind a screen, we can easily shut down a show or ban certain content. But is that the solution for someone who can't filter reality? That signifies a deeper, more underlying issue. I think we should be taught to differentiate between what is real/fake and wrong/right before we start indulging in things like the media because there is a lot of content out there that could easily influence people. For an example, we don't let my 6 year old niece watch violent shows because she is very young so we don't want her to develop an aggressive mindset. I also agree that Kunal going back to Mauli isn't my most preferred track but that's where I let the directors portray their creative freedom. It's their show so I think they should be allowed to showcase the story they want to. The media can be a way to learn what to do as you said but also what not to do. In this case, we're learning the consequence, effect and struggle of cheating.

Sorry to interrupt. But I agree that fiction is completely capable of filling wrong thoughts in the heads.Just like for a long time, Bollywood stood by a notion of "Ldki ki Naa me bi Haan hoti hai" to show all sort of romance. I still remember Tere naam scene where Radhe threatened to rape the girl if she didn't say YES to him & that's when the girl realized that he loved her very much(I mean such madness was romanticized to show that a girl would realize guy's feelings with that awful situation & words).I literally heard guys using this "Naa mein Haan" mentality for years for all sort of reasons. And now, when Bollywood comes up to discuss harassment or the dialogues like "No means No", it literally leaves everyone in splits. People lose their head & no one understand what to do.Even Amir Khan in one of the Satyameva Jayate episode about harassment accepted, that he felt ashamed to romanticize harassment in movies when he was younger, when he was presented with real life incidents where movie instances were directly used to do harm a woman's dignity. He accepted that he didn't realize the kind of impact it left on people out there who would literally do what movies showed & why shouldn't they follow it since movies happened to romanticize it & made it look good for some reasons.I still remember teenage girls going all Gaga over marriage sequence of Shivvay-Anika when he threatened to rape her if she didn't agree to marriage. And the romantic justification by those young girls about the sequence & their excitement for his action left me completely bewildered. I was so shocked to see what these girls were appreciating on the name of romance apparently because it excited some part of your body hormones.Remember, Raman insulting Ishita with all the nasty things & how a lot of people out there seemed to be fine by his constant mental & emotional abuse.I remember the chaos it created when Adi went all obsessive over Zoya. Everyone in the forum kind of agreed that they didn't like watching lead actor do all that & then romanticize it. They called it harassment by all means.I am all for passion, but there is the line which we have to draw. Some things are downright wrong & there is no need to romanticize it to tell a story. We have come so far from all the things we were shown in past & we have to move past that. Some things could have been fine by audience in that era but in the times when people are literally striving to change things, even writers have to be careful about what they show.Harassment, abuse, etc. can's be shown by romanticizing thing at all. They need to show them with consideration & not glorify it for passion. If you want to show a moment like that then make sure you use the next to show that it wasn't right thing to do & bring that excitement all down & literally coin it a wrong move for anyone to take. It's downright traumatic if awful things shown on TV for passion, love & romance happened to people in real life.
