My box office prediction for Sui Dhaaga

Sui Dhaaga - Made In India is heading towards being a major winner at the box office as it showed a very good trend on Saturday with collections jumping around 50% form Friday. The collections have come out even higher than early estimates yesterday evening as it collected 12.25 crore nett apprx. This has taken the film to 20.50 crore nett but more important than that is the trend and the huge jump.

The growth was across the board with even places like Bihar and CP Berar growing over 30% which is excellent for a Saturday considering they are dominated by single screens. When these places show growth as well as the big multiplexes then its a good sign for the long run. Nowadays nearly all films get the Saturday growth but what separates the good ones is when growth comes all over like Sui Dhaaga - Made In India

The extra growth also probably came as day one was hit by the match and real value collections on day one were probably around 9.50 crore nett but even allowing for that the film has shown an up turn of 30% and its wide release not a 1000-1500 screen release where growth is easier as you not released in the theaters which struggle for Saturday growth. The two day collections of Sui Dhaaga - Made In India are as follows.

Friday - 8,25,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 12,25,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 20,50,00,000 apprx

Sui Dhaaga - Made In India is set to emerge a HIT film as it collects 6.75-7 crore nett as per early estimates on Monday which has taken the total of the film to 43.25 crore nett. The drop is just 15-20% from the first day which is excellent trending and its not as if the film had opened very low on Friday, it was still a decent 8 crore nett plus so to drop just 15-20% from there is very good.

The evenings would have got a boost at metro multiplexes as its a holiday tomorrow but even allowing for that its a very strong hold. there is the big holiday to come on Tuesday which will further boost collections. But the main thing is that the Monday number confirms that the film will have some sort of sustaining run over the next few weeks and that is most important.

The first week business will be determined by the collections on Tuesday and Wednesday. Its hard to tell where the film will go on the national holiday and then there will be the drop on Wednesday post the big holiday.
