Toh Hai, started with a lot of
hype and anticipation. The
program was loosely based
on Karan Johar's extremely
popular and rather iconic
movie, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie
Gham. There was a lot of
speculations about the star
cast befor the show had
gone on air as it was a
question of who would be
stepping into the shoes of
Amitabh Bachchan, Shah
Rukh Khan and Kajol. The
series was expected to
garner good ratings on the
charts. It was also Sony's
most ambitious fiction
project. While there were
few speculations and
conjectures doing the
rounds about how the show
might go off air, we have got
an exclusive piece of news
about the development.
A reliable source from the set
has confirmed that the show
is indeed going off air. The
Balaji Telefilms' venture will
apparently shut down by
next month. The dismal
ratings of the show are to be
blamed for the same. "Yes, by
next month the show will go
off air. Everyone on the sets
has been informed about the
same, including the cast,"
revealed the source.
The daily features Karan
Kundra and Yogita Bihani as
the lead characters.
Interestingly both the actors
replaced the original choice
of the show. While Kundra
replaced Bollywood actor,
Omkar Kapoor, Bihani
stepped into the shoes of
extremely popular TV actress,
Erica Fernandes. This was
also Karan's return to the
fictional space.
Meanwhile, Balaji's other
ongoing shows, Naagin 3,
Qayamat Ki Raat, Kumkum
Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya,
are doing quite well on the
TRP charts. The production
firm recently released its
most prestigious project of
the year Kasautii Zindagii
Kay 2.
Also, according to a little
birdie, Sony TV's upcoming
project, a sequel to Ladies
Special, is expected to
replace Dil Hi Toh Hai. The
promos of the forthcoming
show have been shot today.
It will most likely replace the
family drama.
We tried contacting Karan
Kundra and Yogita Bihani,
but both didn't respond to
our calls.
