Anushka goes to her room and sees their names on the bed that they had written to separate the sides of the bed. She goes on Siddhant's side and gently runs her fingers over his name. She removes it from the headboard and smiles thinking that there should be nothing separating them from now on. She does the same thing with her name and throws the shredded pieces in the trash. She then decides to combine their closets but as soon as she opens Siddhant's side of the closet, his precious treasures jump out as if they were suffocating inside. She laughs at his sloppiness and starts picking up and folding his clothes. She holds one of his shirts and smells it. As she gets enchanted by the smell of his perfume, she remembers the bad boy who turned out to be a such a good man. With this realization, came so much happiness thinking that that man is hers forever. She puts the shirt back and arranges the wardrobes to have all their regular clothes on one side of the closet and the traditional clothes on the other side of it.
At the office, Siddhant is lost in deep thoughts. He tries his best to come up with an idea to bring Anushka out of her guilt and pain but fails. He gets worried for her and decides to talk to her once again at night. Suddenly his phone chimes and he sees Anushka's message.
"Shaam ko ghar jaldi aana. Please?" He gets worried and decides to call her.
As soon as she picks up he says, "Sab theek hai? Tum theek toh ho na?"
She patiently hears him out and says, "You know Siddhant, normally jab koi kisi ko phone karta hai na, toh woh "Hello" se start karta hai."
Siddhant senses her teasing tone and relaxes a bit and asks, "Accha baba! "Hello" Anushka!"
"Hi Siddhant!" She says and chuckles.
Siddhant feels relieved hearing her voice and asks, "Tumne humaare sawaal ka jawaab nahi diya! Tum theek ho?"
"Aree yaar tum kitani chinta karte ho? Ha, mein bilkul theek hu. Kyun puch rahe ho?" She asks in return.
"Nahi woh tumne shaam ko jaldi ghar bulaaya toh humein laga koi problem ho shaayad?" He replies.
She gets surprised and annoyed and asks, "Are you serious? Koi problem hogi toh hi mein apne husband ko jaldi ghar bulaaungi? Bina problem ke jaldi ghar nahi aa sakte?"
Siddhant is startled by her annoyance and says, "Aree tum.."
She cuts him off and says, "You know what? Mat aana jaldi ghar. In fact, late aana. Tab tak hum sab so chuke honge aur tumhe kisi se baat bhi nahi karni padegi."
He tries to pacify her and says, "Anushka humaari baat.."
But she cuts him off again and says, "Bye!" and hangs up.
Siddhant stares at his phone and tries to comprehend what just happened. He realizes that this is their first nok-jhok after marriage and smiles.
He decides to reply to her text.
"Aapka hukum sar-aankho par! đ"
Anushka sees his reply and smiles. She replies, "Whatever!"
Siddhant smiles seeing her message.
Suddenly there is a knock on his door. And he decides to put all this aside and focus on work for now.
At home, Anushka puts their wedding pictures in the room and smiles seeing them. As she completes rearranging the room, she gets transfixed on the one thing she had never been able to go through..
"Tum fir se humaare sandook mein ghoosne lagi?"
Anushka gets startled and turns around. She sees Siddhant standing behind her.
"Aree isme toh mein bachpan se ghoosne ki koshish kar rahi hu. Par tum hamesha aa kar mujhe bhaga dete ho! Aaj toh mujhe dekhana hi hai k iss mein kya hai."
Siddhant slowly walks towards her and stands really close to her. She looks into his eyes as her heartbeat starts racing feeling him standing so close. He extends his arms and Anushka shivers a bit. He reaches out.. past her and closes his sandook.
He steps back with a chuckle and says, "Humaara sandook hai. Hum iss mein kuch bhi chupaaye, tumhe iss se kya?"
Anushka gets annoyed and replies, "Mujhe iss se kya? Mujhe iss se sab kuch hai. Tum bachpan se na jaane kaun se raaz iss mein chupa rahe ho. Aur ab toh hum fir se dost hai na! Please mujhe dekhne do."
"Ha toh? Humne tumse dosti tumhe side mein bithaane ke liye ki thi taaki tum baar baar humaare raaste mein na aao. Iss liye nahi k tum humaare room mein aise hi ghoos jaao aur humaara saaman check karo. Chalo neeche. Ma bula rahi hai." He says!
She says, "Nahi. Aaj toh mein tumhaare iss sandook ki talaashi lekar hi rahungi."
He smiles seeing her stubbornness and asks, "Search warrant hai?"
She asks in return, "Search warrant?"
He replies, "Ha. Hum lawyer hai. Bina search warrant ke humaara saamaan check kiya toh jail mein bhijwaa denge."
She remains adamant and says, "Accha? Toh bulaao police ko. Aaj chaahe kuch bhi ho jaaye mein tumhaara sandook dekh kar hi rahungi."
She opens the sandook again.
"Soch lo Anushka. Kahi iss mein se bhoot na nikal aaye!" With that he leaves.
She doesn't pay attention to him and starts looking.
"Boo!" A sound comes breaking the silence! Anushka screams and sees Siddhant smirking behind her.
Sandook's door drops and closes. Hearing her Purva runs into the room and asks what happened. Anushka stares at Siddhant with anger and tells Purva that nothing happened. Purva asks her to come downstairs with her. She agrees and walks past Siddhant. At the door, she turns back and sees Siddhant locking his sandook and putting the key in his pocket. He smiles and winks at her.
Anushka looks at the sandook now and smiles reminiscing the incident. She slowly walks to the sandook and sits down on the chair next to it.
She looks at Siddhant's picture and says, "Siddhant? Dekho, mein tumhaara sandook khol rahi hu. Aur suno, ab na mein tumhaari friend nahi biwi hu. Toh tumhaare iss sandook pe ab mera bhi haq hai! Aaj dekhte hai ki iss mein se kon sa bhoot nikalta hai!
She opens it with a child's excitement and starts going through Siddhant's trophies, old toys, books, pictures, etc. She recalls their childhood as she goes through their pictures. She finds an old scarf suddenly realizing that it was hers that she had once forgotten here. She gets misty eyed knowing that Siddhant had kept it with him all this time. She continues digging through the contents as she recognizes many of the items from their childhood. She is about to put it all back when she catches a sight of an old diary. She picks it up and opens it. Tucked in the cover of the diary is a picture of her and Siddhant from their school days. She runs her fingers on it and smiles. She turns to the first page and gets surprised as she reads,
"I am sorry Anushka. Please hume maaf kardo. Aaj tum America chali gai aur humne tumhe ek accha gift dene k bajaay rula diya. Hum jaante hai k hum galat the. Hum aaye the airport tumhe bye kehne. Jab tumne mudd ke dekha tab hume pata tha k tum hume dhoond rahi ho. Lekin hum tumhaare saamne nahi aa paaye. Kaise aate? Kya kehte? Bohot hurt kiya na humne tumhe? Pata nahi hume kya ho gaya tha! Hum toh tumse kuch aur hi kehne aaye the. Tumhe tumhaara gift, yeh cowbell, dene aaye the. Jaante hai k Shah Rukh ke jaise romantic nahi hai hum par fir bhi koshish karke tumse yeh kehne aaye the k hum tumse bohot pyaar karte hai."
Tears roll down Anushka's eyes as she continues reading his diary. In those pages, Siddhant had shared with her his successes, his failures, his happiness, his sorrows, his messages for her on her birthdays, etc. After coming back home she often regretted missing out on eight years of her life that she could've shared with Siddhant but now as she lives the last eight years of his life, she realizes that he never stopped loving her.. that he never forgot her. As she flips through the pages of his life, she also comes to know how much his heart broke seeing her with Vedant. Even though he had to avenge his father's death, he cared about her so much that he gave her away to someone else to protect her from getting hurt first. Her heart shatters realizing that he was breaking his own heart for her happiness and she couldn't see past her pain. She runs her fingers on the pages and hugs the diary.
She looks at Siddhant's picture again and says, "Bohot hurt kiya hai na maine tumhe? Tum chup rahe aur maine tumhaari khaamoshi ko samjha bhi nahi. Aur tum fir bhi mujhse itana pyaar karte ho Siddhant?"
She wipes her tears, puts the diary and other stuff back into the sandook, and closes it.
She goes to Siddhant's picture and kisses it. "I love you Siddhant Sinha. Aur ab meri life mein tumhaari, humaari, khushi se zyaada bada aur koi maksad nahi hai."

Doorbell rings and Anushka goes downstairs to open it. Gayatri comes in and smiles at her. She sits down on the chair and gives Anushka aarti and prasad. Anushka takes it and bends down to take her blessings. As she rises back up, Gayatri notices Anushka's watery eyes and gets worried.
She asks, "Kya hua Anushka? Tum theek toh ho na?" and caresses her face.
Anushka sits down and drops her head in her lap. Gayatri gets worried again. She pulls her up to look at her face and sees tears rolling down her eyes.
"Kya hua hai? Bol na?" She asks again.
Anushka hugs her and says, "Ehsaas. Iss baat ka ke mein kitani lucky hu jo mujhe Siddhant jaisa pati, appke jaisi Saas, aur Purva jaise nanand mile."
"Aree.. itani si baat aur itane saare aansu? Aise rone lagi choti choti baat pe toh Delhi mein baadh aa jaaegi!" Gayatri says with a big smile and kisses her forehead.
Anushka smiles, too and kisses her on the cheek and hugs her again for a long moment. Gayatri, too hugs her tight.
She lets her go and Anushka says, "Aaj khaana mein banaau? Aaj mujhe Siddhant ki favorite dishes banani hai lunch ke liye. Aap mujhe sikhaengi?"
"Bilkul. Chalo.. aaj se tumhaari training shuru karte hai!"
"Training?"
"Ha bhai! Ab bahu aa gai hai toh dheere dheere apni responsibilities tumhe de denge aur aaraam se sofa pe baithe baithe tumpe hukum chalaaenge." She replies.
And they laugh!
At office, Siddhant is trying to come up with a surprise for Anushka. He feels super excited because this would be the first time he will be pacifying his wife. He calls the cookie company and asks them to send a box of fortune cookies to his home and gives them a quote,
"One smile can't change the world! But your smile changes mine!"
He then calls the florist and asks them to send an assortment of flowers, except for roses, at the house.
He looks at her picture, kisses it, and smiles as he returns to work.
At Reddy Corporation office, Srikanth and Karthik prepare for the board meeting to announce the strategy to move forward without KK. They decide to talk to the stakeholders first before the press conference in the afternoon.
"Anna, hum theek kar rahe hai na? Appa ke rehte itane bade decisions humne kabhi nahi liye. Aur aaj, Reddy Corporation ka future ab humaare haatho mein hoga. Hum kuch galat toh nahi kar rahe?" Karthik says lost in his thoughts.
Srikanth stares out of the window as he thinks about the same questions. He looks at Karthik, his little brother, who is extremely worried. He gets up and goes to Karthik. He hugs him and Karthik hugs him back.
He steps back and says, "Hum sahi kar rahe hai. Hum kyu appa ke crimes ke liye saza bhugtenge? Aur aisa bhi nahi hai ke hum aaj hi aaye hai Reddy Corporation mein. We have contributed to the success of the Corporation, too."
Karthik replies, "I understand Anna but koi galati hui toh?"
"Toh usse sudhaarenge. We have to try for our future, for our family." Srikanth assures him that everything will be fine even though he is worried about the board's reaction upon hearing their plans.
At home, Anushka is cooking as per Gayatri's instructions when someone knocks on the door.
Gayatri sees a man standing at the door with a box in his hand and asks, "Ji kahiye?"
"Anushka ji ke liye ek suprise hai." The man replies.
Anushka is confused and asks, "Surprise? Mere liye? Kisne bheja hai?"
"Woh aap khud hi dekh lijiye ma'am." He says and give the gift-wrapped box to Anushka.
Gayatri asks, "Dekho kisne bheja hai?"
Anushka nods and starts opening the package when another man comes to the door and knocks.
Both Anushka and Gayatri turn and see a man with a hug bouquet of flowers.
He says, "Anushka Sinha ke liye yeh bouquet bheja hai."
"Kisne?" Gayatri asks.
"Woh aap khud hi dekh lijiye ma'am." The man replies, gives the bouquet to Gayatri and leave.
Anushka is a bit embarrassed in front of her Saasu Ma and opens the gift-wrapped box. To her surprise, there are fortune cookies in it. She breaks one cookie and reads the fortune,
"One smile can't change the world. But your smile changes mine."
She smiles realizing that it's from Siddhant. Gayatri, too understands and says, "Aur yeh phool? Yeh bhi ussine bheje honge, nahi?"
Anushka glances at the bouquet and nods noticing that there are no roses in it. She blushes as Gayatri looks at her. Gayatri lets out a laugh and goes to the kitchen. Anushka stares at the fortune and the flowers with a broad smile on her face. She gets an empty vase and puts some water in it. She then unwraps the bouquet and puts the flowers in the vase.
Seeing Anushka gently taking care of the flowers, Gayatri feels happy and content. She says, "Anushka khaana ban gaya hai. Siddhant ko phone karo k aa jaaye."
"Nahi Ma. Mein tiffin pack kar ke le jaati hu." Anushka replies.
Gayatri smiles and says, "Bohot accha hai. Toh apna bhi le jaao. Aaj dono saath baith ke khaana."
Anushka says, "Ji!"
She packs a tiffin and leaves. But she quickly comes back and hugs Gayatri and says, "I love you!"
Gayatri hugs her back and says, "I love you, too. Ab jaao. Humaare bete ko bhookh lagi hogi."
Anushka rolls her eyes and they laugh. Anushka leaves.
At the office, Siddhant is busy working when Anushka enters his office. He looks up and is surprised to see her.
"Tum yaha? Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?" He asks.
Anushka puts the tiffin down and starts taking the food out and replies, "Siddhant, itana bada tiffin nahi dikhta tumhe? Lunch hai."
"Kiska?" He asks.
Anushka gets irritated and says, "Mera. Aaj maine socha ke ghar pe baith ke khaana toh mein roz khaati hu. Toh kyun na aaj, for a change, mein yaha aake khaalu. Dekhu toh sahi ke khaane ka taste badlta hai ya nahi!"
"Yeh aaj tumhe kya ho gaya hai? Har baat ka ulta jawaab kyun de rahi ho?" He retorts back.
She replies, "Ab tum ulte sawaale puchoge toh jawaab bhi toh ulte hi milenge."
"Anushka!" He says all annoyed.
"Okay baba! Sorry. Siddhant, mein tumhaare liye lunch leke aayi hu. Please yaha aake khaana kha lo?" She says with a big smile.
Siddhant nods and comes to the couch. Anushka serves him the food and then takes out her plate as well. Siddhant sees this and asks, "Tum bhi humaare saath khaogi?"
This time Anushka really gets irritated and puts the plate back and starts getting up when Siddhant pulls her back and says, "Sorry. Sorry."
She says, "Nahi. Mujhe nahi khaana tumhaare saath." And starts getting up again.
He pulls her down again and says, "Are sorry yaar. Dekho hum kaan pakdte hai."
She looks at him and can't help herself and smiles. He takes food from his plate and goes to feed her, but she takes it from his hand and feeds him first. He eats and feeds her.
He asks, "Aaj humaara favorite khaan banaya hai! Kyun?"
"Tumne mujhe cookies aur flowers bheje! Kyun?" She asks in return and smiles.
"Kaise lage?" He asks.
She makes a face at first and then says, "Bohot acche." With a smile and feeds him again.
As Siddhant looks at her, he sees her genuinely happy and feels relieved.
"Anushka.." but before he can continue, she feeds him again to stop him from talking and says, "Tumhe bohot pareshaan kiya na maine? I should've known ke tum mujhe sabse acche se jaante ho. K tumhe meri takleef ke baare mein mujhse pehle pata chal jaata hai. I am sorry Siddhant. Jo kuch bhi hua, Appa ne Papa ke saath jo kuch bhi kiya, uski wajah se mein.."
"Tum guilty feel kar rahi thi." And feeds her to stop her from talking.
"Hum jaante hai Anushka." He continues. "Ehsaas hai hume tumhaari pareshaani ka. Hume pata hai ki yeh waqt sabse zyaada tumhaare liye mushkil hai. Aur hum puri koshish karte hai ke tumhe koi aur takleef na ho. Bas tum humein aise apne se dur matt karo. Humse baat karo. Hum yeh nahi keh rahe k humaare paas har mushkil ka hal hoga lekin hum tumhaara dukh baant toh sakte hai na. Hum tumhe khush rakhna chaahte hai, tumhaara dukh kam karna chahte hai!"
Anushka puts her hand on his mouth to stop him from talking and kisses his forehead. She dropped her head on his and says, "Tumhaare rehte hue mujhe koi dukh nahi ho sakta. Tumhaara saath meri zindagi ki sabse badi khushi hai."
He looks at her misty eyes filled with love and kisses her forehead. He wipes her eyes as they smile at each other and finish their lunch.
At Reddy Corporation, after completing the board meeting, Srikanth and Karthik prepare for the press conference. All their worries got reduced significantly when the board approved their future plans for the Reddy Corporation with the strong support of Sudhanshu Nanda.
The press has been seated in the garden of the Reddy Corporation. As Srikanth and Karthik get ready to face the world, the press reporters give briefings about the inception of Reddy Corporation, KK Reddy and his sudden demise, confessed crimes of KK's close aide Rao, the plane crash, etc.
Seeing this on their TV screens, Neeta and Riddhi get extremely nervous. For the first time in her life, Neeta doesn't know what the future holds in store for her family. Yet her heart is filled with immense pride seeing her children facing the world with so much courage.
At his office, Siddhant's attention is drawn to his TV screen as well seeing the extensive coverage. Though he is well aware of what is about to unfold, he gets nervous about the world's reaction when Srikanth and Karthik will reveal their plan for the Corporation's future as he doesn't want them to face the consequences of KK's crimes and sincerely wants them to succeed. He notices Anushka getting stiff sitting next to him. He holds her hand as they wait for the big announcement.
