Chapter 10

From khanna Residence,Mahek went straight to her gallery. Called her driver to get her car from the malls parking and then she got busy painting. Her mind tried to fight a battle against what her body already knew. Shaurya was everything for her,She wanted him, and she wanted him for her children. "When you fight for someone you love, fight and fight, don't give up until you can't fight anymore.'' Her inner being told her. "I can't throw myself in his life even though I love him,he's mad at me for leaving him.'' She said to herself. Her phone buzzed,breaking off her trance. A message from Shaurya popped up on her screen. "You cried a lot today and shed so much of that precious tears which I hate to see in your beautiful eyes. Drink a lot of fluid,I don't want you to get sick from dehydration and don't forget to take your meds.'' Mahek pressed the phone to her chest. "What will I do to win back your love and trust Shaurya? Please tell me..all these while I was thinking you were married to Ria and I didn't contact you..I was so wrong to sacrifice our love...I'm regretting Shaurya ..I'm so sorry...will you ever forgive me for what I did to you? Did to us?'' She questioned softly but no answer came. "If I could, I'd rip my heart out and show you how much I love you.'' She said and broke down.
Meanwhile Shaurya and the kids were having fun. He took them for shopping and fed them with whatever they wanted to eat. "Daddy,I'm too tired can you take us home? Mommy must be waiting for us as well.'' Said Ayaan. "Yes dad..I think this is enough for today and I have started to miss mommy too.'' Added Ahana. "Theek hai I'll drop you off but first I have to get something for your mommy.'' Both kids were happy to hear that. "Really dad? That's so sweet of you!'' Said Ayaan. "Daddy still loves mommy!'' Ahana whispered in Ayaan's ears. "And don't forget our Mommy loves him too!'' Ayaan told her softly. Both kids were happy that their dad still cared for their mommy . Shaurya stopped by a flower shop on the way and bought a rose bouquet and Mahek's favourite chocolates. Children were eagerly waiting in the car to see what their dad had brought for their mommy. "Wow daddy! Mommy would love that!'' Ahana flashed her teeth when she saw the bouquet in Shaurya's hands. Shaurya smiled and drove towards their house.
Mahek had come home. She had her shower and got dressed. Her head was still sore. "Take a nap you'll feel better.'' Kaki told her. "Nahi kaki,Shaurya will be here at any minute with the kids. And you know Ayaan and Ahana,they won't send their daddy off without dinner. Let's go give me a hand,I'll make dinner for them.'' Mahek and kaki got busy in the kitchen. When dinner was ready,Kaki left as she was done for the day. Grandfather clock struck 7. Just then the door bell rang. A smile appeared on Mahek's face and she hurried towards the door. When she opened the door her children screamed. "Mommy we are home!'' With toys,books and shopping bags they threw themselves in their mommy's arms. Mahek laughed and buried them in her bosom. "How are my babies?'' "Oh we are fine mom! We had a great time with dad. But we missed you.'' Ayaan told her. "You are forgetting my daddy,he's here too.'' Ahana whispered in her moms ears. Mahek looked at Shaurya who was totally lost in her. "Hi Shaurya...'' he came out of his trance as soon as he heard her voice. "Oh hi! Sorry I was just...'' "Lost in Mom?'' Ayaan completed for him. Shaurya smiled sheepishly. "Yeah you can say that.'' He looked at Mahek who was trying hard not to blush. "Andar aao na!( come inside) Mahek finally spoke. "Welcome home daddy! This is your house too! Feel free!'' Little Ahana took her daddy's hand and brought him inside. "Dad let's go I'll show you the house!'' Said Ayaan. Mahek had left to heat the food up. "Just a second bacchey! Let me talk to your mommy first.'' Shaurya told the kids. "Of course dad! She's all yours but just be nice to her!'' Ayaan told his dad. Shaurya assured him with a smile and left towards the kitchen. "How's your head? Is it still sore?'' He asked Mahek from behind. "A little sore..but I'll be ok.'' She told him. "Medications liya tha? (Have you taken the meds?) he sounded very concerned. "Not yet..I'll take it just before going to bed.'' Answered Mahek. "How was your day with the kids? Baccho ne Zyada pareshan toh nai kiya na?''(Did they give you hard time?) Asked Mahek while adding dressing to the salad. "It was wonderful! Hard time? No Absolutely not..They were very well behaved..must say you have brought them up really well.'' Said Shaurya. "Without their father it was hard to raise them but I didn't give up on them.'' Mahek looked at him with teary eyes. "When I left why didn't you come after me Shaurya? When Ria told you the truth then Why didn't you find me? How could you let me go?'' Tears rolled down her cheeks. She saw his face become gentle with emotions, and it gave her the courage to dive headlong into what really lay in her heart. "Tell me Shaurya ... ' Shaurya eased Mahek into his arms and wiped the tears from her cheeks with his fingers. "I did look for you Mahek but couldn't find you..and all these years while searching for you I lost faith in love and trust...I have no feelings left in me..I'm frozen.'' He palmed her face and his eyes fell on her glossy lips which was just an inch away from his. "You do have feelings Shaurya,I can see it very well in your eyes..it's not hidden from me.'' Muttered Mahek. "Daddy hurry we are waiting!'' Ahana's voice startled them and they parted. "Coming bacchey! I'll talk to you in a bit.'' He said to her and left towards his kids. "Alright! Let's go give me a tour of the house!''
Shaurya took the shopping bags and followed the kids to their room. "Leave the flowers here dad,when Mom goes to her room later then you can go behind her and surprise her.'' Ayaan told his dad. "Alright! Whatever you say!'' Shaurya left everything in Ayaan's room. Kids held his hand and gave him a tour of the house. "That's mommy's room over there! It's very beautiful inside. You can go there with the flowers after.'' Sang Ahana. Shaurya loved their house and their theme rooms. "House is indeed beautiful!'' He told them. "Thanks dad! Momma bought this house when we were born.'' Said Ayaan. "Must say your mom has a good taste.'' Said Shaurya. "You are her good taste too daddy! That's why she loves you and That's why she married you right?'' Ahana looked at his daddy and flashed her teeth. "Come here you!'' Shaurya picked her up and tickled her with his stubbles. Ahana's laughter spread in the house. "What happened to your teeth huh? Who ate it?'' He Teased her. "Rats ate it dad!'' Laughed Ayaan. "No dad! I donated it to the tooth fairy so she could give it to those in need of a tooth.'' Laughed Ahana. "Oh wow! You are so very kind!'' Shaurya tickled her more. Ahana laughed louder. "I was just kidding dad!'' Shaurya ruffled her hairs. "I knew it pumpkin!'' Ahana loved it when Shaurya called her pumpkin. "Dinner is ready!'' Mahek gave them a shout from the dinning table. "Coming mommy! Let's go dad!'' Shaurya and Ahana followed Ayaan to the dinning table. "Food smells nice mommy! Did you make something special for my daddy?'' Asked little Ahana as she jumped up and sat on the chair beside her bhai. "Yes I did..now say a prayer then we can eat.'' Said Mahek as she pulled a chair beside Shaurya. Once again Ahana only thanked God for his dad and forgot about the food. Ayaan was tired of correcting her so he let it go. Mahek served them the meal. "Chicken biryani! Yum! It's daddy's and my favourite!'' Ahana clapped her hands in excitement and started eating. "How do you know biryani is my favourite?'' He Asked his little girl. "Mommy told me daddy! She tells us everything about you,your likes and dislikes..I know everything!'' Grinned Ahana. Shaurya looked at Mahek wanting to say thank you but he saved it for later. Both kids watched their mommy serving their daddy. "You don't eat meat but still you made this for me?'' Shaurya Asked Mahek. "You are forgetting,your daughter also eats meat.'' Mahek reminded him. Ahana giggled. "I'm daddy's girl right daddy?'' "Right baby girl!'' Ahana was all happy chappy and continued eating. "Thanks Mahek,food is delicious.'' Complimented Shaurya. "Thanks for having dinner with us..kids will love it if you dine with us often.'' Said Mahek. "Kids will love it or you will love it.?'' Asked Shaurya softly. As if she was caught stealing,Mahek lowered her gaze and continued eating. Shaurya chuckled. Dinner came to an end. Children seemed to be very tired. "Ayaan baby you go shower and Ahana go to your room I'm coming in a bit to help you with your shower. "Ok mommy! Dad,don't leave yet.'' Saying that Ayaan left towards his room. Ahana Sat on Shaurya's lap and kissed his cheek. "I'll see you in bit daddy! Next time when you come over,I want you to give your little girl a shower.'' Shaurya pulled her chubby cheeks gently. "I will baby girl! Now go I'll help your mommy clear the table.'' "Okay daddy!'' Flashing her teeth,Ahana hopped away to her room. Shaurya picked up few dishes and followed Mahek to the kitchen. "Leave it Shaurya I'll do it. You had a long day today,you must be tired.'' "I can't be tired around my kids Mahek ,I have to make up for the lost time and for that I'll do everything for my kids,I can't afford to lose them now. They need me and I need them.'' Said Shaurya. "They need me too Shaurya...what about you? Don't you need me anymore?'' Her voice was brittle. Mahek stared at him. While she did, her eyes filled with tears. Blinking back her tears she glanced up again, the tear-filled eyes meeting his. Her chin quivered. "You don't right?'' Before Shaurya could answer her hand moved to the tea cup sitting on the counter top and the cup fell down on her feet,hurting her. "Watch it Mahek!'' It was too late! Mahek cried in pain. Shaurya went down on his knees and examined her feet. Her toes had tiny little cuts from the broken pieces. "Shit! Tumara dhyaan Kaha tha yaar? Ek bhi kaam Tum theek se nai kar sakti kya?''(what were you thinking?) Mahek forgot about her pain and just looked at concerned Shaurya. "My mind and focus was on you" her smile turned to a grin. "Kids shouldn't know about this incident,they'll freak out, she said softly as he lifted her up in his arms,her quiet words sounded like a siren's call. He could see the pulse racing in her neck as he carried her to her room. He met her gaze, eager and beautiful amber. "Our baby girl has your eyes.'' Said Shaurya. Mahek smiled,Her eyes sparkled, candlelight from the nightstand flickering in their deep brown depths. "And our little boy has yours,deep dark brown.'' This time Shaurya smiled proudly. "Obviously! I made them!'' Mahek pulled his cheeks. "We made them Shaurya! I conceived on the very first night we made love.'' Shaurya placed her on the bed. "You have to tell me everything that happened from the day you left me.'' "I will..I will tell you everything that I went through for the past 6 years without you but will you forgive me then?'' Asked Mahek. "I'll not forgive that easily Mahek,you have to work and earn my forgiveness.'' His voice was deep. Mahek pouted sadly. He found the first aid kit and cleansed her cut,applying antiseptic cream on it. The wounds burned and Mahek hissed in slight pain. He blew his breath on her feet to soothe the burning sensation. His touch was affecting her And he knew it.. He could hear the way he impacted her,the breath that caught in her chest, shuddered through the long column of her throat as she exhaled, thin and reedy, as though it was difficult for her to get the air in. He bandaged her wound and stood up. "Stay right here! I'll go check on the kids. I'll come and see you after tucking them in.'' Mahek nodded her head. Walking out from her room he noticed their photos on the walls. Exactly how he had in his room. He turned and looked at her. "These were my strength to carry on with your children in my tummy and give birth to them. Because of these memories I was able to survive for past Six years.'' Their gazes met for a heart-stopping second. Restraining his emotions he walked out of there without saying a word.
By the time Shaurya reached Ayaan's room,he was already in bed. Shaurya kissed him good night and covered him properly with a blanket. He then went to his little girls room. She was sitting on her bed and waiting for her mommy. "Hey pumpkin!'' Hey daddy! Where's Mom? I'm waiting for her to give me a shower..I'm itchy.'' Shaurya sat beside her and took her tiny hand in his. "Your mommy is a little tired so I told her to rest. How about if I give you a shower today?'' Ahana's face lit up at once. "Really daddy? That will be wonderland!'' Shaurya laughed. "It's wonderful and not wonderland.'' Ahana giggled. "I was reading Alice in wonderland that's why it slipped out of my mouth..sorry.'' Father daughter laughed and headed to the washroom. Shaurya gave her a shower and dried her really well. "I'll put my lotion on and you help me with my pj's daddy.'' Shaurya helped her with her pyjamas and tucked her in. "Thanks papa for the shower and everything else. Oh your shirt is wet! Mommy has your shirt saved for 6 years,you can get that from her.'' Shaurya kissed her good night. "I will..now close your eyes and go to sleep..I'll see you soon. Love you princess!'' Ahana gave him a flying kiss. "Love you too daddy! Don't forget to give mommy the flowers and please daddy just be gentle with her..you know how quick she gets emotional ..'' Shaurya nodded with a smile. Leaving the door ajar he went to Ayaan's room to collect the bouquet and the chocolates. The door of Mahek's room opened gently. Mahek was trying to unzip her dress. When she hear footsteps she thought it was Ayaan. "Ayaan baby,can you pull mommas zipper down,I can't reach it. Said Mahek. "Hurry na I need to change into my nightwear.'' Shaurya placed the bouquet on her bed and gently walked towards her. Meanwhile Ayaan who was following his dad,locked the door from outside just as Shaurya got inside. "Now dad will have to stay with mom for the night and they can sort things out,hopefully by morning dad decides to move in with us or take us all with him to his house.'' Getting excited little Ayaan tiptoed to his room and slept. Shaurya fumbled with the zipper and slid it down. Mahek's milky skin came into sight. His hands having the mind of their own touched the naked flesh. "What's wrong with your hand Ayaan? It feels huge and rough.'' She asked. Then his cologne reached her nostrils. Her eyes widened as he resumed his caress, exploring her naked flesh for the second time. Soft, responsive flesh that pebbled under his touch. He traced a path of goosebumps all the way down to her lower back. Hugging her chest to hold the loose dress in place she turned. "Shaurya!'' She swallowed. "You should have told me it's you..!'' "Sorry!'' He apologized. "It's ok..bacchey Kaha hai?(where are the kids?) And What happened to your shirt? Looks like it's wet.'' Asked Mahek while still breathing heavily. Shaurya started unbuttoning his shirt. "Kids are in bed,I had to shower our little girl and my shirt got wet in the process.'' She bit her lip to stifle her ragged breathing as she watched him remove his shirt. "Ahana told me you have my shirt for 6 years..'' Mahek looked away. "Hmm I have it..the one you were wearing the night you made love to me..'' Emotions swamped her, the room swirling around her. He grabbed her arm and hauled her to him. She collided with his rock hard chest with a whimper. Holding her firmly pressed against him, his lips inches from hers he wove their fingers together. Her dress slipped down from her shoulders revealing her shoulders and upper chest. She made the mistake of looking into his face and stilled, unable to pull her fingers out of his. Their eyes locked and the words were on her tongue to order him to stop looking at her that way. Stop touching her if he doesn't want her in his life. Stop everything. But she was too weak to do that. "Thank you for giving me such beautiful kids Mahek. Even though we were apart,you carried them in your womb for nine long months. You gave birth to them and raised them for six years and that too on your own. You told them everything good about their dad,now I know the phone calls i was receiving every night was from you! And the tiny sounds,the growling and the groaning were from our babies! I was already a part of your pregnancy Mahek. I was literally present here with you when our babies were growing inside your tummy!'' Both were in tears. With one hand he grabbed the bouquet and presented it to her. "This is for being the mother of my children...thank you babe for giving me such amazing kids..'' Mahek didn't know what to say. She was kind of caught off guard. She took the bouquet from him,her body was just shaking from mixed emotions. Shaurya took the flowers from her hand and tossed it on the bed. Her heart tripped in her chest, and her attention automatically zoomed in on his mouth. The corners curved upward. "Come here you!'' He pulled her in his arms and He held his breath, then let out a slow exhale as he lowered his mouth to hers. when Shaurya lowered his head, Mahek closed the distance between their mouths. On a groan, she went to him, her half bare breasts pushing into his chest even before she stretched to wrap her arms around his neck. The kiss was hungry and almost harsh, his lips bruising hers. The moment felt magical. She felt magical. Beautiful. She responded with her own hunger for him, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing herself as close to him as she could, even closer than he already had her. He deepened the kiss, rubbing his tongue against hers. Shaurya pulled her closer, squeezing the small of her rear with both hands and rocking his pelvis against her. She sobbed, "Shaurya please...'' and caught a breath, opened her mouth against his, and surrendered. He kissed her until he was satisfied. Her lips were red and swollen from his sweet torture. He ran his tongue on her lips to soothe them. She felt his shaft long and rigid against her abdomen. She was feeling him all over her and she needed them to stop. Her eyes shifted to the chocolates on the bed. She pointed her finger towards it. "What..not now Mahek..let me..'' before he could capture her lips again she spoke. "Choc..chocolates..I..I want them..'' she stuttered. Shaurya had already forgotten about the chocolates. He parted and sighed. "Saved by the chocolates.'' He smirked. Mahek grabbed her night gown and hurried towards the washroom. Shaurya arranged the flowers in a vase and placed it on her nightstand. Mahek came out few minutes later. "Come have the chocolates then I'll go.'' He unwrapped the chocolate and Mahek took a bite from his hand. Then she shoved a piece in his mouth. "Thank you for everything today.'' Shaurya grabbed his shirt and stood up. "I gotta go! You have taken your meds now try to get some sleep,I'll see you when I see.'' He strode towards the door and turned the knob but it wouldn't open! He fiddled around with it but it didn't open. Mahek figured it out why the door wasn't opening. "It won't open Shaurya..the kids locked us in.'' Mahek told him. "This means I will have to spend a night with you in your bed and..and..'' he gave her a mischievous smile. "And you will keep your hands and your other things to yourself you understand.? Mahek Warned him. "I will keep my hands to myself but other things? I can't guarantee you see.'' He grinned with a wink. "Zyada khush Mat ho Aur daanth Mat dikhao! (Don't get too excited and don't show me your teeth!) saying that Mahek made the bed. Shaurya shut his mouth and scratched his head. Suddenly Mahek's head spun and she sat on the bed holding her head. "Mahek you alright?'' Shaurya hurried towards her. "I think it's the medication.'' "Ok no more talking..just lie down and close your eyes.'' He tucked her in nicely. "You won't go right?'' She Asked feebly. "Do you want me to?'' Mahek grasped his hand "No! Please stay.'' "I'll stay..can I remove my jeans?'' He asked. "For what?'' Mahek raised a brow.'' "To do a ad for my undies!'' Answered Shaurya. Mahek Laughed sleepily. "Stupid girl you know I don't sleep with my clothes on.'' Mahek continued laughing "Good night honeybuns!'' "Don't you call me that in front of my children you hear me?'' He threatened her. Mahek giggled groggily. "I can't promise you that my sweet!'' Before Shaurya could say anything else,her tired eye lids dropped closed. He crawled in beside her and watched her sleep. He tucked her hair strands behind her ears and placed a feather like kiss on her forehead. Mahek smiled in her sleep. She rested her head on his chest and wrapped a arm around his waist. He rubbed her arm and let her sleep like that.
Next morning Ayaan baba woke up first and then woke his sister up. He told her how he locked their parents in the room. Her mouth dropped open. "Haww! Was it a good thing to do?'' She Asked "I think so..if we want our parents to unite we have to do silly things like this.'' He told her. "Now hurry up and Freshen up we have lots to do!'' Both had a bath and got dressed. First thing Ahana did was to call Awara bhaiya. She found his daddy's phone on the dinning table and searched for Awara's number. "Bingo! I found it!'' She dialled awara's number. Awara picked it up right away. "Good morning Awara bhaiya! This is Ahana khanna! The only daughter of papa khanna! Listen carefully,I want you to bring daddy's clean clothes to sharma house in 15 minutes. Please and thank you! Don't keep us waiting!'' Ahana hung up and hopped away to the kitchen where kaki and Ayaan were preparing breakfast for her parents. "Omelettes! Harsh browns! French toast! Sausages! Fruit salad! Tea and coffee! Oh god I can't stop my hunger and my mouth which is just watering!'' Screamed Ahana. "Sorry moti! We will have to eat with mommy and daddy. This is a surprise for them remember?'' Said Ayaan. Ahana licked her lips. "Hurry bhai or I'll die with hunger..'' Ahana said sadly. "Come give us a hand then!'' Ahana helped them gladly. Just then the doorbell rang. "That must be Awara bhaiya!'' She hopped to the door and peeped through the key hole. She opened it when she saw it was Awara. Awara handed her the bag and left. Ayaan quickly wrote a note and left it in the bag. Then they went and quietly opened their parents bedroom door and left the bag inside. "Kaam hogaya let's go!'' Ayaan brought his sister out who was just looking at her mommy sleeping on her daddy's chest. "Aren't they cute? I'm so in love with them!'' She said with a blush as Ayaan pulled her out of the room. "Let's just give them some privacy alright?''
Mahek woke up to find herself tangled in Shaurya's arms. He felt Her studying him. His cheek twitched when she kissed him all over his face gently. Butterfly kisses. Head propped on her hand, she stared at the steady rise and fall of his bare chest. His rough stubbles and his dark hair mussed from sleep made him a picture worth enjoying. She loved watching him sleep. It was a rare luxury, back in the villa he always seemed to become aware of her and wake up. Last night When he crawled into bed he couldn't sleep. He was just staring at her beautiful face as she slept. Mahek had been zonked out. She barely recalled the press of his lips against her forehead or his arms wrapped around her body. Suddenly he shot his eyes open! "Gotcha!'' He smirked. "Checking me out huh?'' Embarrassed,Mahek untangled herself and rushed to the washroom. "Oye I did keep my other things to myself! Don't ask me how I managed to though. I was obedient.. Atleast take me for a shower with you!'' He blabbered and got up. But Mahek was already gone. His eyes fell at the door. Wrapping the sheet around him he walked to check if it was unlocked or not,he found the bag sitting by the door. He dug in to find a note along with his clothes.
The note read- Dearest Daddy,thanks for staying with mom last night. Hope things are now sorted between you and Mom. Please find your clothes in here. Shower and get dressed! We'll be serving breakfast in bed in about 20 mins. Love you!

"My Kids na!'' He smiled and brought the bag to the bed. "What about them Shaurya?'' Asked Mahek while coming out of the washroom. He showed her the note and the bag. "They'll do anything to keep us together Shaurya.'' She told him after reading the note. "Hmm ..how you feeling?'' He Asked while grabbing a towel. "Better then yesterday! Go shower..they'll be here soon.'' On the way to the washroom he planted a kiss on her cheek and left. Mahek was caught off guard but she liked it. "I wish you never leave us Shaurya..we can all stay like this under one roof.'' She said softly. Few minutes later Shaurya came out looking refreshed. "Mahek,I might have to go out of town for a week or so..I won't be able to meet with the kids.'' He told her. "When are you going?'' She Asked while making the bed. "Tomorrow,So now after breakfast I have to go home and see to a few things and then pack my bag.'' Mahek's heart sank. "Tell the kids yourself because I can't.'' She said. Just then the door opened! Ayaan and Little Ahana came in with a trolly full of breakfast. "Good morning mommy daddy!'' They said in unison. "Good morning bacchey!'' Shaurya kissed the crown of their heads. "Good morning my babies!'' Mahek hugged them to her chest. "What do we have for breakfast?'' Asked Shaurya. "We have lots of things Daddy! Please sit on the bed beside mommy,we will serve you.'' Said Ahana. "Okay!'' MehRya sat on the bed and their lovely kids served them. "Omelette and sausages are mine and daddy's,the rest is yours and mommy's.'' Ahana made it clear to Ayaan. The family ate in bed. "Mommy,why is your lips so swollen?'' Questioned Ahana. Mahek almost choked on her toast. She looked at Shaurya for an answer. "A wild bee found too much honey on your mommy lips while she was sleeping. The bee got busy sucking on it that's why her lips swell.'' Said Shaurya and sighed. Both children looked at each other confused. "Its a long story..let's just finish this delicious food for now Alright?'' He ruffled their hairs and the Kids started eating,Shaurya winked at Mahek and she turned shades of pink and red. Grinning he cracked some silly jokes and the kids laughed along with their mommy. He fed his kids and they did the same. "Just a sec daddy! There's something on your lips! I don't want it to be honey otherwise the honeybees will suck it and your lips will be fat too!'' Said Ahana and wiped it off with her tiny fingers. Clamping her lips together to prevent a laughter,Mahek watched them,her heart filled with love and love only.
