Consent is crucial. Do u agree?

Do u think Marital Rape exists? When a husband forces himself on his wife , even if she doesn't want to have sex, Is it Rape?

I just read an article in Silsila forum regarding Marital Rape. So sad that people think Marital rape is not really a rape and is less severe than a REAL rape.

Can a husband forcefully have sex with his wife even without consent? Should India criminalise Marital Rape? I think YES.

I remember this topic being discussed many years ago. And there was one doubt that I had then, which I have even now. How will it be proved that the wife didn't give consent?

Rape means use of force and violence. When someone forces against someones will then there will be physical marks to prove other than that.. marital rape would be difficult to establish... the husband could do it while she is sleeping or get her drunk.. or whatever.. imaginary!!!! Sadly the way marriage is interpreted in india gives very little room for this law...

I am not from India so I don't know much about it's laws on such matters.

But I think non-consensual sex even in a marriage should be considered rape. Though I wouldn't know how one can go about proving that.

Rape doesn't mean force n violence .Sex with consent is Sex and without consent is Rape
