Little things that make bepanah different

Yesterday's episode had one the best "truck almost hits one of the protagonists" scene. By ITV standards i mean.
I've seen very little itv but from that little, I've garnered that such scenes are usually dragged and too long. With the truck coming. Still coming. And coming. And then maybe in an episode or two it reaches the protagonist at which point every viewer knows how it will conclude. Backed up by ridiculous background music, the scenes are never alarming or scary.
Yesterday the truck scene was scary. The way it seemed to come out of nowhere. The way it all happened so fast, the way it was so realistic...my heart jumped at that point and all i was thinking was "wait the segments show that aditya is fine, he's not gonna get hurt is he??" And that is how these scenes should be shot. Sudden and quick so that the viewers are actually shocked. Not an hour long scene with the camera showing the truck, the protagonist, the truck driver, the other protagonist by which point the viewers are like "just get it over with already"
So kudos to the makers for making a cliche scene so terrifying. It is scenes like this that convince me of BP being in good hands.

And then there was waseem. I got the chills in his scene. The way it was shot was so good. When the man he is talking to reminds him that his daughter will get hurt, waseem is cool as a cucumber and then when he says "jaanta hoon. Pichli dafa bhi sambhal liya tha iss dafa bhi sambhal loon ha" I felt a tingling down my spine. That cold, dead look when he says that. There was no moment where he smiled in a evil way or gave a lot of expressions. He was in that moment a cold man dead to all emotions. Reminded me of an assasin. That was some excellent acting on his part. And then and roshnaq calls him, there was no "looking around with an obviously guilty face and abruptly ending the call and trying to act as normal"
No he just curtly cuts the call and briskly tells his wife to leave him alone. It is little things like these that make bepanah so different from mainstream shows.
And of course Jennifer Winget was perfect. Her panic was so palpable. In a few seconds she perfectly acted out the part of someone who just had everything given to them, only for it to be almost taken away in the next moment. It was very well done.

Zoya is a character who does not say much unlike aditya. Aditya is very verbal but zoya says a few words that deliver the same impact. Yesterday was such an example. Aditya proposes and does so beautifully. And then zoya says just one line "hum kabhi alag nahee houn gai kyuunkai aesa honay sai humari jaan chali jaye gii" (something like that) it was one sentence yet it was enough.
I believe harshad chopda even said something like this in an interview once. That his character in bepanah was very verbal and the one who had more ease in using words to communicate their emotions while zoya was a character that said very little but whatever little she says has a strong impact.

@bold :🤣😆very true 😆
The other lead face will be freezed for about 2 min and the camera will b rounding the freezed face for another 1 min with awkward bgms..😆altogether it wil take 1 episode! Here also zo's reaction was freezed but not more than 2 secs tht it is the diff between bp nd other shows! Really tht scene scared me nd was thrilling. Waseem🤢no wrds!! Was shocked after seeing his other worst side nd even i got slight goosebumps!!

Exactly! The makers are really good at the thriller aspect. And how to make it real and not OTT

Agree with each and every words..yesterday i was lietrally shook after the truck.scene..for the first time i was wondering.if i am.getting too.much involved with a fictional show..becz seriously.mit felt.like someone close.to.me was about to be hurt..i mean..it was so realistic..as u said..on usual shows the scene.would.have been so.dragged that we.would.end up.wishing get it.over with..but the way bepannaah does it..it was like a swish..and it took.out breath away..aditya was kneeling inside..and we xould see the truck starting..even before qe could.just comprehend he will.somehow.come out of the car the whole hitting part happened..kudos to cvs for their brilliant work..as u said..bepannaah is handled by some really talented hands..i am still notmover that scene to be frank..still that dhak dhak feeling thr when i think abt it..
Wasseem really looked cold.blooded yesterday..for thefirst time i didnt even feel.like.making fun of him..this is no more a joke..if he is involved in this attempt to murder..then henis one the most cruelest cold blooded murderer in the show..even worse than anjana..becz anjana has a past..but wassee. Has always been shown as a dotting father..
Rosana being the wife is getting the feeling of something going wrong..she can sense it..
As u said..harshad did mention in his initial episodes..aditya.vents out his emotions with words..zoya doesnt talk.much but when she says something simple and plainly the truth ..it just bowls him..and he is left wordless..
Uff that last part...the best ever confession anyhwre u hv ever scene..followed by their smiling faces together..and then normal couple life where he introduces her to a local women.for helping him do the propsal..and thn.getting the wallet frm the car...and zoyas pure smile..like that of a newly wed bride thanking the god for showering his blessingsnin the form of adityas love..her holding the ring as the most precious part of her life..and the sudden shock when for an abrupt second she could see her love is about to be hurt..to be lost..that fear of.loosing everything..her hug..as if trying to merge with him..to actually feel that he is ok..and he will be ok..his shaant shaant..he always knew her..he knew she would be shaken..his hug back was tight and consoling..so.much love and subtleness...can it be anymore beautiful..

So true TM in others show, that truck scene would have been OTT and taken up half the episode just zooming in and out of the lead's faces with loud background music. Bepannaah makers do it realistically kudos to them 👍🏼

Bepannaah is definitely better than other shows n i hope it runs for more 6 months, rather than dragging it forever. Infact among the shows of Jen dis show has d best storyline.

Actually in some other show.. This truck would be coming and coming for like 5 minutes with all the zooms and flashes and would have been left at the end like that only. Monday would have again repeated the same for 2-3 minutes and bam then by the time it actually happens.. nobody pays any attention for the final scene. And they would have shown this scene in promos and aage Dekhiye multiple times.

BP is so different.. We didn't even know something like this will happen and they didn't left on the cliffhanger either as truck scene or Vatsal's face.

Everyone's expressions were on point and immediate action really involved the audience there. I love BP.. Setting new standards in every episode.

Waseem's scene was another jhataka scene for us.. we weren't expecting it and bam his cold expressions chilled everyone to the core. Grey character portrayed too well.. Not with stupid smiles or eyebrow raises or hiding the phone... Lol.

You summed it up perfectly it was adorable how aditya's priority was calming zoya down. And harshad too nailed the scene. He perfectly acted out the part of someone who just narrowly missed death but does not know yet. Is still somewhat in shock.

Aww I can't tell you how much that means to me
I wouldn't know about Jennifer's other shows since I never watched Dil Mil Gaye. Saw a bit of Saraswatichandra but it didn't really appeal to me so left it after a few episodes (but her acting was amazing in that too, what little I saw of the show). Never seen beyhadh. Just the occasional IG post here and there. So I don't know about storylines but i do know that Jennifer is one of the most diverse actresses on ITV. (im a Pakistani so perhaps there maybe other actresses but I don't know many that have acted out so many diverse characters)
