Awe, I'm delighted to see there's at lest some of us who had gotten attached to Barsine. She did show potential after helping Puru in India, but I guess she was never meant to be "more" in this show. CV's are capable of writing strong female characters. We got Laachi, Ansuya and Olympia so they could have written Barsine a little better if they wanted to. She didn't have to be a warrior princess, but she could have been 'something better'. But no... I'm convinced her character was purposely sacrificed. She was written in way to be scorned and eventually forgotten (never received strong dialogues or scenes). They should end her role rather than dragging her through mud further.

Completely agree with you, that this was a deliberate move by the CVs. It's a shame that nothing much happened to her and that she will fade from memory. I would have really liked them to give her her own track where she goes to Macedonia, gets a good education, and sees another side to life, free of war and violence. That would have been interesting to see.

But CV shouldn't forget that barsine was also his wife ...He was teaching her Macedonian way of life...She was going to sit on his throne like Roxana ...unfortunately he died so young 😕 and Barsine couldn't get happiness she deserved

Exactly, bechaari must have had such a sad life. If the makers showed all the way up to Alexander's death then it's still worth exploring her life Macedonia, up to the point where Roxanne has her executed. That would be interesting to watch, and would fill up some of the 70 episodes that Aunty says we're short on. 😃 In fact, in parallel they could also follow the story until the death of Puru because he didn't live decades after the Battle of the Hydaspes either. It would take a lot of courage for the makers to show both leads until their deaths and I don't think they will manage this. After all the fascinating dialogues between Alexander and Olympias about fate, I would have liked to see him thinking back to this during his last days and wondering what could have been.
