That was some great acting from DD today. Such scenes are very exhaustive and mentally draining. And she nailed those scenes to emote the undergoing psychological struggle within herself.
I felt bad since she was indirectly coined a "prostitute" with all those words, just because of one wrong decision of her life.
I know a lot of people say that Nandhini just kept shaking like a leaf, like before. But she did fight and try to walk away , until all those other women forcibly dragged her down and out. It was pretty intense, and tbh a little over the top. Not DD's acting, but the way they just kept dragging it out, and the cameras that kept going in circles.
Aditi nailed that scene with lone tears in the court without uttering many words. Her tears were reflection to the deep pain & how she was still trying to put herself together & not shatter down completely. I loved the cold shoulder Mauli gave to Kunal leaving him stunned. They douche deserved it.
One could resonate with her pain deep inside the heart & constant conflict of her past that was beautiful & the past that depicted tremendous change.
Absolutely š. Even in the courtroom ,her only indication of pain was the crack in her voice , and the way she held her body, like she was hugging herself . I love the fact that they didn't drag her character down into muck. Public scenes and drama are not her style at all.
Kunal , who really should have been the strongest character written , is the weak link ,as of right now. There is very little of-the guy who was in love with Mauli. Maybe they are going for a , he is numb and not thinking angle.
Mauli's Mom- Lesser said, better it is. The woman is š” with all the crappy dialogues. I will laud her when she grows spine to confront Kunal who is the real douche in the mess.
š„± She made me yawn , honestly. She was the voice of every stereotype in society. The voice that blames a woman for luring and forcing a man to slip. As if men are babies and can't think for themselves . If she actually cared for her daughter , she would have asked Mauli what she needed, and stood by Mauli. I mean did she even think , dragging Nandhini's name in muck , means that somewhere people will gossip about Mauli's failings s as a wife as well. Society here works like that. They'll wonder what it is that she did to push Kunal into Nandhini 's arms.
But for me , more than Mauli's moms nonstop Bakwas, it was Rajdeep who really stole the scene.That smirk, those fake tears , and those dead eyes . He gives me chills. Kunal- Why was our highness shocked? Did he not expect this or wanted to do this himself? (Oh, I know because he was planning to kick her a** & instead himself got kicked with that divorce filing. Kunal would have never been able to come up with the divorce application had Mauli not done this deed. I still don't understand why Mauli didn't use adultery clause to get the divorce asap. She should have listened to the lawyer. It's no longer a family matter now. Everyone will know it already when Kunal is kicked out & marries Nandini soon & Mauli remains with Kunal's family at the end. Mauli's mom herself made sure that everyone knows about it.)
Aaah Kunal. I could happily kill him, and then dance around his dead body. Poorly written and a completely layer less guy . One minute he's apologising to Mouli , and stopping her from cutting up photos, and the next he's telling Nandhini there is nothing wrong about their love . Inconsistency anyone ?
But then, maybe they want to show us what /how the average stereotyped man would behave. Behave irrationally, believe that the mess would clean itself up. I am so glad that Mauli decided to divorce him . It's the first step towards healing. But this Dida track is going to annoy the shit out of me. Please God , please let Kunal's mom tell Mauli she is under no obligation to do anything adidas says.
I think Kunal doesn't even realise how much he's broken things . He's destroyed Mauli's ability to trust , her sense of self , her confidence as a woman and wife , her oldest and dearest friendship , Mauli's ability to judge . It's a bloody catastrophe.
About why Mauli decided not to file under adultery : It would have taken much longer to get the verdict, and she just wanted to get the hell out. Plus she's left in up to Kunal how he's going to reveal to the world his ahem love for Nandhini. Like she says , even talking about the affair makes her feel dirty. It's like she wants to disassociate herself from the situation as much as possible.
