Mahir Vs Vikrant - Contrast in Characters

Bela will soon be at crossroads - choice between Vikrant and Mahir.

It will be a difficult decision for her. I believe she should choose Mahir, even though Mahir may/may not accept her after he knows her truth.

She has loved both of them at different points of time, but both are such contrasting characters.

Mahir

He is a gentleman through and through. He agreed to accept the baby, did not judge her. Was ready to divorce her when yuvi announced his comeback. When he came to know (mistakenly) that Bela loves Yuvi, he was ready to let go of Bela for her happiness. Didn't want to hold her even though he was married to her and loves her.

Vikrant

His love for Ruhi/Bela was based on a lie. He flew off his handle, when Adi said Bela-Mahir might have come close. He almost killed Adi for even suggesting such a thing. His obsession for Bela borders on maniac. I wonder what would be his reaction when he comes to know that Bela loves another. He would definitely not let go of her for her happiness.

Its ownership of Naagmani and Naagrani title that he is after. True, he put his life on stake for Bela, but that looks suspicious from day one. How can a all powerful Naagraj be defeated by a bunch of boys.

Most importantly, Mahir is Belas husband, while Vikrant is her ex-lover. Even if Vikrant's love was true, his intentions were pure, still Bela choosing Mahir over him would make sense.

If vikrant us not negative I would have preferred vikrant

she should prefer her first love let's see how vikrant character shapes up .who knows Mahir might turn negative and vikrant positive

There is no IF here, he is negative only, if his love was pure he didn't hv to lie to her abt his Vansh . She would hv accepted him even after that. And how can u say IF , he clearly wants naagmani for his mother . What if bela refuses, he will not leave her.

I might be going to ruffle some feathers here but I can't help wonder HOW people choose Vikrant or Shaan so easily? I mean they are choosing based on hardly ONE episode? What would you even KNOW about the character? It takes at least few episodes to unravel/understand a character. Look how slowly they opened up Mahir over the course of time...

So either they are going for it coz they like the actor or they just love the idea of bad boy... Such people should not phenko about bothering about story or plot! That makes me laugh 😆

Anyway, for now my choice is obvious! But I am waiting for more shades of Vikrant to unravel before I form an opinion on him... so far, first impression wasn't favourable.

That's why I said script writers can change any thing right ..they might show he ok eve if he does not get naagmani

See season 2 ending they showed ritik killing his own daughter

First love is not something etched in stone. Bela thought she had lost her first love, and moved on. She's married to Mahir, has started to love him, without his innocence being proved. That shows that she really loves him.

Even if Vik is not negative, which is a big IF, I prefer Mahir for he is positive totally. But I would totally love to see her dilemma, and her Behir's anguish when Vikrant's identity is revealed.

Similarly marriage done for revenge is not etched on stone

She loving mahir is as true as she loving vikrant ..nothing more nothing less

She told to naag guru that her heart believes Mahir is innocent ,that's why she loving mahir

Same heart loved vikrant so much that she wanted to die with him ..and a cord g to her it's her saccha love

Vik clearly looks negative and his intentions seems to selfish.

@bold - Vikrant made that very clear during his monologue. Even after confession, when Bela ran after Mahir, he told himself "Sharma gayi".

I like possessive males .so no prob ..if script writers portray vikrant to be grey rather than negative I am for vikrant

Any character let's see what it shapes up too ..we can't assume though right now he seems negative

Exactly. It takes time to unravel a character. We have seen many shades of Mahir - his possessiveness, his jealousy, even his anger. But he never ever crossed a line. In all his interactions, he is honest and truthful. (except for maybe marrying Bela under disguise).

Vikrant on the other hand, hasn't shown any concern or care for Bela. Why should he come back as Yuvi and not as Vikrant if he loves her so much.
