As far as Mahir knows, Bela was supposed to marry Yuvi, and he stepped into Yuvi's shoe. He forgave and overlooked all of Bela's rudeness and hatred as that was how any woman was supposed to react. But since Bela made it clear that she doesnt' have any feelings for Yuvi, he want to take their relationship forward. That's the reason he keeps insisting. If there is no one else, and she never loved Yuvi, he is her husband, why shouldn't they get close.

Mahir has his faults. Bela has her. And both have seen each others faults. But still want to spend the rest of their lives with each other. Thats' what love is all about - not perfection ,but accepting imperfections and wanting your love to be happy always.

I did watch a couple of episodes in beginning but I discontinued later.Afterwards I became interested again after seeing a couple of BeHir clips on twitter.To be precise it was Mahir's heartfelt proclamation of love for Bela and his desperation to stop her from marrying Shaan which caught my attention.

Mahir is a sweetheart. As Bela said in her dream love confession - one cannot help falling in love with him, she couldn't, neither can we.

I always thought none could even come close to Asya's chemistry from Qh. But Behir have come close, very close.
