Am not surprised. She comes from a family which is so obviously sexist. Where women are forced to give up on their careers post marriage and even her own sister Karishma had zero support from them. No wonder she thinks Saifu is the biggest revolutionist since he 'allowed' her to work post marriage 😆

I'm surprised by some of the responses here. As a married woman, I can say that both man and woman on a relationship usually compromise. It's inevitable when 2 indiviuals decide to share a life together. Hell, even when you room with a roommate you have to make certain compromises and may not be able to do certain things as when you were living alone.
Now, to what extend you need to compromise your life choices depends on your partner. In an ideal marriage and relationship, those changes are minimal, in kareena's case she once mentioned something really silly that she had to stop doing it irked Saif - the way she chewed gum was noisy and he asked her if she could stop doing that.
Vice a versa, she has said that she has recognized that she needs to give him his space and time and thus "allowed him trips with just his friends without that are all boys without tagging along all the time. I've noticed she often takes multiple trips with her her gal pals and Saif doesn't tag along and sometimes takes care of Taimur so she can enjoy that time off.

That's a blessing in a relationship. To have that kid of understanding with your partner. It's got nothing to do with "asking for permission but more so being able to make whatever life choices you want with minimal compromise
