This is my perspective on the character post revelation -
Mauli - Gajra mam is personally writing this Character, I feel it is the most realistic character and her dialogues are perfect, Aditi's mannerisms and the way she adds a few things here and there are making Mauli the best character on itv (Aditya Hooda is my personal favorite though).
I remember there was a scene where Mauli said that a woman should not end her life for a man and I am so glad that Mauli didn't even think in that direction not once, Mauli is a strong woman, she has her identity, artificial things like Saree doesn't define her, Mauli is not what she wear, Mauli is not what she cooks, Mauli is not her husband's wife but Mauli is a woman, a woman who was betrayed by two most important people in her life, when Nandini left Mauli, I guess she found solace in Kunal, she shared her life with him and after spending 7 years of her life with him, somewhere down the lane he became her life, he became the most important person in the whole world, she doesn't mind working day and night to give him his dream and he broke her, there must be a part of her which is used to Kunal's presence in her life, her brain knows that he has betrayed her, she did not beg him to stay that's not Mauli but she did expect him to stay, she wanted him to tell her that what they had wasn't a lie, the life that she was living for past 7 years wasn't fake, that's Mauli, I don't want Mauli to take him back, I don't want Mauli to cry for him but I guess I am being unreasonable, Mauli build a life for her, I know in these 7 years every decision of hers involved her future with Kunal and making peace with the fact that he left her in midway is not something she can do in a few hours, she blamed him, she blamed herself, she picked up the pieces of her life and tried mending it, she succeeded at a point but he broke it once again and that was too much for her, she doesn't want to do it again, she can't so she decides to leave the house, her mother in law won't let her go and threw her son out of the house, she saw her life walking away from her and she couldn't believe that after all these years he would leave her life to be a part of Nandini's life...
Kunal - I had no expectations from him, I hated his guts, I made peace with myself thinking this guy never loved Mauli, he used her for years then left her for Saree and kheer (What a bargain), his reaction to Mauli's state was surprising first when Nandini stated that Mauli will commit suicide his first reaction was that Mauli won't do such a thing, she's not weak like him, then he went and stood there taking everything she has to give, he didn't utter a single word in his defense, he did not preach about his lub for Nandini, he was so guilty that he could not face Rajdeep, then he asked her for punishment, he returned the clinic keys saying he doesn't deserve any of this, I am not saying he's a nice human or right but he has humanity, he is a jerk and pervert of first order but he knows that he has hurt Mauli and at some level this is bothering him. I know he can't remain loyal to anyone, he left his mom for Nandini, I honestly don't have any expectations from this man, he's a shallow, chauvinist who can't tolerate that his wife is more successful than him, he needs a woman who's submissive so he can control her
Nandini - I did expect something from her, I expected her to understand Mauli's pain but I don't think this woman is capable of thinking about anyone but herself, when she saw Mauli in the Ganpati visarjan and Kunal asked her to leave, she left, Mauli is not Kunal's wife, she is Nandini's friend too, she saw and she thought that Mauli will commit suicide but of course how can she deny a direct command from her lub, then she sits in her house and says that she'll apologize to Mauli, she may forgive her or not but apologizing to her is Nandini's farz *slow caps*, then she reaches Mauli's home, Mauli senses her presence, she comes out but Nandini doesn't offer her an apology, she leaves Mauli's apartment building and first thing she does is call Kunal, she got to know that Rajdeep is beating Kunal and she saved him, she attributed everything Mauli did for her to Kunal, she brings Kunal home, she was insulted by Kunal's mom, looks like the monolog of pure love was written to be used in front of Rajdeep, because who wouldn't look good in front a man like Rajdeep? Mauli confronts her breaks her friendship with her and next thing she does is call Kunal, what makes it worse is that Nandini knows the pain of betrayal but she couldn't care less about Mauli but of course she'd cry that she can't live without her love and best friend, fake fake fake
Kunal and Nandini both are equally at fault for hurting Mauli but only one of them is showing any kind of remorse for hurting her, the other one won't even spare her a thought and it makes me hate that Mauli supported this woman, when she needed help, but Mauli wouldn't be Mauli if she won't help Nandini or wipe her tears, Mauli didn't forget to wipe her tears even during confrontation and Nandini wouldn't be Nandini if she stops backstabbing Mauli.
