Raman was rocking little ishita in his arms while she slept after having her tummy full. Raman look at her and smiled. He caressed her cheek and said -meri sona, sirf meri. He said smiling and then made her sleep comfortably on his bed. He use to sleep along with ishita on the same bed with mihir, romi and neil on sides. He made her sleep and went to check on mihir and other boys.
All were playing hide and seek when Raman called them and said -why u all were teasing sona, woh choti hai naa. Usse pareshan mat kiya karo.
Romi-ohho bhai, we r not teasing her. We were just playing with her. We love when she ran behind her for her milk bottle.
Raman -but usse chot bhi lag sakti thi. She was all sleepy still u guys were teasing her.
Mihir -sorry bhai, we didn't realised. Iss baar maaf kar do, we will not tease her again.
Raman smiled and opened his arms for them. The boys hugged Raman tight and said -u know bhai, u r the best. The way u take care of us and ishu is just too good. Koi bhi kisi ka itna khayal nahi rakh sakta.
Raman -achcha bahut ho gayi chamchagiri. Now go and start study. Kal test hai naa. He said and the trio make face.
Mihir -abhi thodi der mein padhte hai, bhai.
Raman -no way, go and start studying. I don't want ki tum logon ke gande number aaye.
Mihir -bhai, Aap khud toh school jaate nahi. Aur hamari padhayi ki Itni fikar.
Raman -main school nahi jaata, kyunki mujhe sona ka khayal rakhna hota hai. But main padh leta hoon, tum sabko book se. I will start going school when sona will start going to school.
Neil -toh kya bhai, Aap ishu ki class mein padhoge. KG mein,he said and all laughed.
Raman hold Neil's ear and said -nahi, tum log ko class mein,as I know more then u three. Ab bakwaas khatam ho gayi ho toh chalo padhayi karo. He said to which trio nodded their heads and went behind Raman.
Raman make them sit and start teaching them.though he don't go to school but has more knowledge then them as he read all the books available to him in free time.
It was more then two hours since all the boys were studying when mihir said -mera complete ho gaya, bhai. Ab main jaaun khelne.
Raman -abhi nahi, abhi toh padhna start kiya hai.
Romi -bhai, it's more then two hours. Let us go.
Raman -abhi Kahan do ghante hue hai, abhi toh sona uthi bhi nahi.
Neil-bhai, ishu nahi uthegi Iska matlab yeh toh nahi ki time ho nahi beeta. Look at the clock, it's over two hours.
Raman raised his head listening to them and realised its really more then two hours.
Raman -sona nahi uthi ab tak, Itni der tak toh kabhi nahi soti.she is fine naa. He said getting worried.
Mihir -go and check, aur hume bhi karne dijiye.
Raman nodded getting worried and went to check on ishita while the boys ran out leaveing their books there only.
Raman went to his bed and find it empty.
Raman -yeh kahan chali gayi, he thought and start looking for her but she was nowhere making Raman worried.
He searched for her all over the house and was going to terrace together check when he heard her voice. He look around and realised the voice was coming from outside. He ran out and saw ishita sitting on the ground picking fist full of mud and eating.
Raman got shocked seeing her sitting like this and ran to her calling her name.
Raman sat next to her and said-what u r doing here, sona. I was searching for u.
Ishita smiled fully and said -lam, chona mitti khayi, yum yum. She said licking her hand.
Raman picked her in his arms and said -chee sona, mitti nahi khate. It's dirty, ganda hai.
Ishita look at Raman with angry eyes and said -achcha hai.
Raman made a dirty face and said -nahi, ganda hai.
Ishita slapped raman and said -achcha hai.
Raman -hooo, sona. U slapped me. Sona gandi bachchi. He said and put her down when she start crying.
Ishita -chona achchi, dodhi lo. She said opening her arms.
Raman nodded in no making her cry harder.
Ishita cried bitterly and said -chona achchi, dodhi lo lam. She was saying when Raman said -first u promise, ab mitti nahi khaogi. Mitti khana ganda.
Ishita -mitti achcha, yum yum.
Raman-phir lam jaa raha hai, sona gandi. He said turning and she start crying more loudly opening her arms for him.
Finally he couldn't see her crying and sat on his knees. He opened his arms for her.she came running and engulfed into him. Raman wrapped his arms around her and picked her in his arms. She settled her head on his chest and said -chona achchi, she said shaking her head.
Raman smiled and said kissing her temple -sabse achchi, but mitti khana nahi.
Ishita chewed her index finger and nodded in yes. He happily took her inside. Washed her face and mouth, changed her clothes and start playing with her. Later in night, he made her sit with himself and feed her. He was feeding her making small morsels while she was also feeding him in between.
Mr batra were smiling constantly seeing their bond.
Slowly time was passing, Ishra were growing up gradually with other kids when one day a couple came to the orphanage to adopt a kid.
Mr batra showed them all the small kids but they liked Raman. They want to adopt raman and told the same to Mr batra making him happy as he remember how Raman use to feel alone and wanted a family for himself. He told the couple that he will prepare the papers for adoption and call them. They went meeting Raman, giving him some chocolates making Raman confused.
Mihir, romi and Neil came to raman and said -bhai, kitni saari chocolate hai, hume bhi do.
Raman gave them chocolate happily and start eating one, feeding another one to ishita. Ishita ate chocolate and then slept in Raman's arms. He was about to make ishita sleep when mihir, romi and Neil came to him crying.
Raman -kya hua, why u all r crying??
Mihir -hum aapko tang karte hai, tabhi Aap jaa rahen ho naa, Bhai.
Raman -main, Kahan?? He asked all confused.
Romi-humne suna, woh uncle-aunty aapko lene aaye the. They will take u away from us. Please humse dur mat jaiye, aap toh bhai ho naa hamare.
Raman got confused and went to Mr batra and asked the same.
Mr batra made him sit and said -haan raman, yeh sach hai. They r adopting u.
Raman -mujhe adopt kar rahen hai??
Mr batra -haan puttar, they chosed u. And I am very happy. Ab tera apna ghar hoga, tera parivaar hoga. Tujhe ab anath ashram mein rehne ki koi zarurat nahi. U will have parent who will support u and love u always.
Raman look at mr batra and said -yeh Aap kya keh rahe hai, baba?
Mr batra caressed Raman's hair softly and said -i am talking about ur good only, Raman. Tum chahte the naa ki tum bhi achche se raho, achche school mein padho.see u r getting an opportunity. Woh log tujhe adopt karna chahte hai. Go with them, they will give u a nice environment to grow and will nurture u. He said making Raman understand while his eyes were fixed on his little sona who was sleeping peacefully in his arms and the boys who were looking at Raman with moist eyes waiting for his decision.
