When Alexander first saw Barsine , he wasn't much impressed by her personality...So marriage with her was never on his mind...
When he saw Parysatis, he was smitten by her ...And instantly he fell in love with her...though not much is written about her historically but one thing is sure she was very beautiful. And she was very wise girl. Her family had royal connection also.she knew about politics...had alexanderr married her she wouldn't have allowed to go past Egypt...and made him family man...
Now comes the third notorious and beloved one. Roxane . She was too beautiful and Alexander married her immediately despite her trying to kill him... It was she who stopped Alexander from going toward arabia but pushed him towards India...and thus that violent battle of Afghanistan happened ...she was 22 when Alexander married her..she wasnt royal blood and no political knowledge..she was a bit insolent in her behaviour towards others including her so called Bhai Porus...She was disliked by almost all except for olympias and cleoptra ... sowhen Alexander married other two olympias wasted not a second and declared Roxane heronly daughter in law...roxane is said to have killed other two wives though no historical source say so...
