I do agree he has a competitive nature but I really don't think he cares that she has been dharma darling. He does makes fun of that thing too.He easily could have been in place of alia and become kjo's favorite. All he had to do was sucking up to karan all the time, be a part of his gossip gang, listen to him more than his own father and loose the sanctity of his personal life. Fortunately he is not that person and I am sure he doesn't want to. It took him time , he did do some bad movies and didn't get best projects but still made the mark on his own . Unlike her he doesn't call karan and his directors telling them he will be upset with them if he is not casted in their movies.I also agree that she did gushed about sid and paraded him as her bf. Like I said in my previous post maybe she does that with whoever she is linked and well next is ranbir.
Exactly, I mean there's no denying the fact that Varun is super-competitive, wouldn't put past him that he got envious about Raazi, Padmavat, Sanju, Baaghi 2 or even Parmanu's success 😆
But the same guy has gone on record to say that Anushka is a much bigger star than him or how he always praises Alia's body of work & performances despite taking pot-shots at her offscreen harkatein time to time😆 so I doubt its that considering Alia herself has given IV's after IV's saying she doesn't deserves as much remuneration as Varun as he is a much bigger star than her (her exact words not mine😆)
As for him being jealous of her for not being "Dharma's darling" like her 😆 well not everyone aspires to be Kjo's puppet/slave for life like say an Alia or Sid, heck he has always made a conscious effort to prove otherwise always maintaining an arm length distance from Kjo😆
