Karan Johar, the man behind the rapid-fire
rounds and on-the-couch controversies
was recently a part of Anaita Shroff
Adajania's chat show Feet Up with the stars.
Karan talked about his babies, if he has ever
changed a diaper, his dating life and the
woman that he would marry in a heartbeat
and more.
Speaking about his dating life, Karan said, "I
am undersexed and underpaid. I don't date
like serious dating. There are some
situations that allow you to venture into an
intimate zone, now and then. Casual sex is
not something that works for me at all. I
need to be able to interact with the person.
Have some level of conversation, therefore a
level of comfort.
Karan was also asked which female actor
he would marry in a heartbeat and he
responded, "Kareena. She is fun fabulous,
entertaining and this is like everything that
I would look for in a life partner.
When asked about who among his friends
was a serial dater, Karan explained that
there was no one as such but did mention
his suspicions about gyms as a popular
hookup zone. He mentioned mischievously,
"I am not sure. I keep teasing Aditya Roy
Kapoor about his obsession with certain
gyms at different times and I think they do
much more than heavy lifting there.
He added with a smile, "I feel their treadmill
is running on a totally different path.
Karan also confessed that if there was a
movie to be made about him, then he
would prefer Ranbir Kapoor to play him
because "He is obsessed with my life. He
has the passcode to my phone with which
he checks my messages, WhatsApp
everything. He knows much more about my
life than even I do.
He was then asked if his mother is aware of
his dating life and Karan said, "That part of
my life doesn't exist for her and she is a
prude. She lives with me and I live with her.
She knows everyone who is coming and
going.
He also spoke about how Yash and Roohi
spend playtime with Inaaya, Taimur. "They
are not at the age where they are very
interactive as of now, he mentioned. He
was then asked if he had ever changed a
diaper and the director-producer said, "I
have not been able to tie my own shoelace
so if I were to change diapers I might give
them diaper rash.

How is he going to raise 2 kids if if he doesn't know how to change a diaper?

A high percentage of fathers don't change diapers if they can avoid it. Lots of mothers with nannies too. I'm not sure I understood his answers about sex and relationships though. I think Karan had the kids for his mom. She seems very involved with her grand babies. I remember in Simi select's India's most desirable, Karan's mom said she has already accepted that Karan would never marry. She looks really sad when she said this. Also the kids will be the Dharma heirs.

I'm not quoting anyone to emphasize this isn't meant to anyone personally. Parenting is amazing and difficult and mostly thankless and the most important thing I have ever or expect will ever do. Most working mothers feel constant guilt and self doubt about what they are not doing, like changing diapers - I know I did. We should give working moms a break. And we shouldn't extend that guilt and self doubt to working single fathers. My children have no idea how many diapers I changed and its okay because that doesn't matter. I might have changed every single diaper they ever wore and be a shit mother. Any minimum wage day care worker can change a diaper. Being a good parent is in excelling at the other things you can only do for love, not money. Some stay at home do nothing but mothering mother's are great at it and some are not. Some fulltime+ working mothers and fathers are great at it and some are not. You cannot judge from the outside looking in.

No wonder he and Kareena are BFF's. These are designer babies like designer clothes. More for status and having heirs than having kids.
