Unfortunately that's exactly how Bollywood functions. One Formula works and ten films are being made using the same formula for the next 5 years. The amount of biopics and period films scheduled to release in the next few years is absurd. It's been ages since Bollywood came out with a brilliant feel good or slice of life film. Or even a breezy romcom with great chemistry. Everything involves gimmicks and PR these days 😆

Totally agree. Can't believe am saying this but I am missing the humtum's n salaam namaste's with croonable songs and funny moments

Or even a JTYJN. 9 out of 10 big films releasing in the next two years are period films. Even Rajamouli has moved on to a different subject though Baahubali was so successful 😆

SSR is always like that. He quickly hops to different genres irrespective of success or failure of his last movie.

This over dose of biopics n period films will kill the excitement of cinegoers. Even the smaller movies are based on true incidents n not the usual song n dance movies bollywoid is known for. They r losing their main USP in chasing the BO numbers.
