My analysis on today's episode

Hi All,

Watching today's episode was so hard for me. I agree that watching HC perform is a joy, but due to my irrational infatuation for HC, I could barely swallow the episode. My opinions may be highly biased, but there are two things main things that I concluded for this episode:

1. Zoya was not right in declaring Arshad the winner. As Adi's best friend, she should have chosen Adi. I couldn't relate to her sacchai wala answer, because it's not like Adi's biryani was bad. It was actually really good. Arshad is a total stranger for her and she also knew that her answer would hurt Adi and yet she decided to choose Arshad. If I had done the same thing to my best friend, she would have never spoken to me :P. Zoya needs to learn how to be a better friend.

2. Adi needs to observe that Zoya has ZERO feelings of love for him. I mean nada/nil/zilt. If there was even a slightest bit of attraction there, then he should have pursued her, but it's obvious to everyone and anyone that the woman doesn't feel anything for him except friendship. I sometimes feel like she treats Adi and Arshad equally, and only gives Adi a little bit of extra attention either because Adi demands it, or because Zoya considers him her friend.

I think Zoya has every right to talk to Arshad or any other guy for that matter. Yes, she is trying to please her dad, but I don't see anything wrong with that. It's not like she is committed to Adi at the moment. It's Adi who needs to see that Zoya doesn't see him as anything beyond a friend. This is basically the Mahi/Adi track all over again, except this time, the one sided love is Adi's and we are all heartbroken right along with him. I don't think this is especially a bad track to be honest. I think it's a good track, but I am finding it hard to watch because watching Adi in pain, means I am in pain, and I don't want to be in pain!!

We understand your pain, and are also feeling those pains!

Just hope in the next few days, AdiYa get trapped amongst goons and cannot escape easily. From this i hope she sees that Adi is her saviour from others but moreso herself!

Come one Zoya think outside the box!

Try to watch the episode from Zoya's pov, watch Zoya's actions, her behavior with Adi and Arshad and u will notice lot of difference. Today, Zoya's actions clearly proved she is in love with Adi but hasn't realized it yet.

Zoya's decision to choose Arshad the winner may be controversial but her point was simple. We don't like to eat restaurant food everyday no matter how delicious they're. We always want to eat homemade food because they are simple and easy to digest unlike restaurant food. She didn't insult Adi. She just said that she liked Arshad's biryani more because it was simple. But that doesn't mean she has fallen in love with Arshad. For Adi, it might be to prove himself better than Arshad but for Zoya, it was just a small competition and she had no idea how serious it was for Adi. Frankly speaking, if Adi had knew Zoya would be the judge, he too would have made simple biryani because he knows Zoya is a simple person.

Secondly, the way Zoya was behaving with Adi, she is in love with him. She first gave the towel to Arshad. Arshad thanked her but she ignored him and was looking at Adi for a long time. She realized Adi felt bad after losing so she was making him feel better. While singing the lines, mere dil ko... she was looking at Adi and was blushing for a while.

I kinda disagree with your points. Very respectfully though :) I know it sounds like a very small thing, this competition, and yes, she has no idea how important it is for Adi, but I think when it comes to any competition where there is a winner and a loser, the loser will always feel bad, even if he's not in love with the judge. She could have called it a tie to spare Adi's feelings even if she felt Arshad's biryani was better. That would have been a sign of a good friend. And while everyone was clapping, look at Zoya's reaction. She is smiling and clapping all while staring at Adi. It's like she is thinking "I know I hurt your feelings, but well, truth is truth and Arshad did make better Biryani, so deal with it". I thought it was a little insensitive frankly. And then that dialogue about the biryani being good enough for a king felt more like rubbing salt on wounds.

Also, according to what I am seeing, I don't think Zoya is in love with Adi. It's not even that she subconsciously loves him and hasn't realized it. I just don't think she sees him as anything other than a friend. There are no feelings of love anywhere as far as I see. It took Arshad to bring that to light for me. Earlier when it was just her and Adi, even I thought that she was in love with him but in denial. But Arshad's entry has shed a whole new light into the situation for me.

During the song, she wasn't actually looking at Adi. She was generally looking about the room and pausing on different people. I personally didn't see any special looks or attention towards Adi.

Brilliant subha. . I totally agree with you and i too felt the same seeing the episode.. .. I have made a post on this too. ... She has just not realised it... That's all... She is very much in love with aditya. . She can realise it only when there is a separation...

Also i don't want Aditya to confess his feelings now. .. It has to happen just when zoya too realises and comes out of the azeez dost shell ...
