Pretty sure the CVs also want us to keep guessing so they've thrown us crumbs in different directions.

Technical win but moral loss that discourages the army - this is the best way to stick to some semblance of the truth but let's see. Perhaps this is the win of the soch they keep talking about.

I remember that even in Razia Sultan they distorted tons of things but not the final outcome, where the good guys didn't win. The difference is that they had more solid historical records to use, so maybe they couldn't deviate so much.

Here they really are taking the stance of history being written by the victorious, which is Porus in their eyes. In any case, they are also giving the wrong message that bravery and patriotism are only shown by winning, because it's not true at all. Taking a last stand and fighting until death is real courage and bravery, regardless of the outcome. Saying otherwise would be an affront not just to the real king Porus but also to the martyrs and freedom fighters all over the world who have fought to defend their motherland.

I am getting angrier and angrier with the complete destruction of King Porus' legacy and now Chanakya's. They had one chance to teach the audiences about the brave king but look what they've done! There isn't much material on him so people are bound to be affected by what they see here. In all other shows or movies Porus was shown towards the end of Alexander's conquests or had a small part in narratives about CGM. By making him the titular character here they had the responsibility to ensure they maintain his honor, but alas!

Gosh I can't believe how worked up we get about this show. Meanwhile, SidT is going to make tons of money and then use it to make more "historicals" with even bigger budgets. I don't tend to watch many TV shows in general, and like Rohit I was skeptical about the CVs' abilities to justify the character of Alexander or other Macedonians. Didn't think they'd botch up others too. They threw us the bait with the wonderful tracks initially and we were in hook, line, and sinker. And now like a fish trapped by that hook we are flailing - can't remain stuck but can't escape either. Ugh!

On a lighter note, Rohit has asked for VMs and said he'd repost them on his Instagram. Where is LawlessLawyer???

That one was beautiful

I think one of the sections where show lacks is unable to portray relationship on either side
There was no story apart from the repetitive unsuccessful battles
If they had dug more into the characterization the show would have grabbed better numbers and kept hooked

Yes, because they are human beings with emotions and not war machines.
