People who are saying Kajol and Rani got help from their husbands in their career have no idea what they are talking about 😆
Kajol and Rani both married their producer husbands MUCH later AFTER they were already established actresses and Kajol certainly has not benefited from any of her films with Ajay's PH ...did she have any hit films with her husband's PH? How many has she done actually?
When Kajol started out she did not get any help from any industry folks, nor did her producer father Shomu Mukjerjee nor did any of her uncle Mukherjees of Filmalaya launch her career ...she got all those roles ON HER OWN...
Here is Kajol's filmography... a look at the directors names will show none of them are her uncles or cousins and there are many different directors and PHs she worked with in her early career

And if anyone claims KJo helped maker her career, I will die laughing,😆 In fact, it was the other way around, Kajol and SRK kick started KJo's career by encouraging a dorky, underconfident young KJo (AD on DDLJ sets) to make his dream movie KKHH, telling him they would do his debut movie, there are many interviews by all 3 confirming this
Yes, Kajol was Tanuja's daughter but that did not help her much as Tanuja was never a top ranking actress in BW (she was more popular in Bengali films) ...older sister Nutan was always more successful than Tanuja
As for Rani, yes she was launched by her producer father Ram Mukherjee in both Bengali (Biyer Phool) and Hindi (Raja ki aayegi Baraat) but after that she got roles on her own
Her dad was neither that successful producer/director nor had that much money to keep on making films for her
For both Kajol and Rani, the Mukherjee family name recognition was there, but they got roles on their own merit and talent, it wasnt as if ONE powerful producer/director kept on giving them roles one after the other...their filmography will reveal that..

Alia ki aukaat nahin hoti to make it on her own during Rani/ Kajol's time, she doesnt have the personality or talent of the 2 Mukherjee cousins and the other talented actresses of the 90s
