Hi Shruti, Onam starts today ? I wish the rains stop and relief is sent across the state fast. I was in Kochi airport when rains had started and it's ferocious in comparison to the rains here in Mumbai.

It's grim in Karnataka and Himachal too. The central government has just granted 100 cr vs 1200 crs which is needed by the state.

I passed on the necessary info to my cousins in the middle East, people are contributing but frankly no clue whether the funds reach the right hands

My cousins are in Kollam and they are not reachable as of now.

Fingers crossed, my prayers for those of them who are stranded without anything there..I know the feeling bcos I too have been in similar situations. It's very scary .

@harshadhoclic people are taking material. Today also sevabharathi volunteers from ekm personally went to kuttanad with some essential supplies. But situation is grim. Neither the rain stopping nor water level receding.
