John Abraham is one of those people who follow the rules and believe in the system.
He also has a good reputation when it comes to treating women right. About the growing threat towards the women in the country, the Parmanu actor said, "As a proud Indian, I have the right to look at things happening in the country critically. I say this on record that India is not a safe place for women and animals. We're one of the few countries where we disrobe a woman by just looking at her. It's sad and getting worse. I'm scared, and this makes me question the society and the country I live in. I don't endorse capital punishment, but I believe we need to instil the fear of death in these sick men to ensure that they don't commit such crimes."

He seems genuinely concerned . Don't take his comments literally , he is just upset by recent incidents or he is trying to promote his movie 😆

It's sad such celeb spew so much venom without seeing the ground reality... I am a woman and I stay in India...and it is as safe or dangerous as any other country in the world...

Feel bad that the country has to tolerate such idiots who disrobe her with such brainless comments...

Also, the TM couldve avoided posting this topic on India's Independence Day...

yes India has lots of things to improve upon but at least spare one day of insults on the country...

Likewise. I don't know a single woman who doesn't live in this fear. I don't know if people in other countries also fear the same but this is an actual issue.

Probably because u belong to Upper middle-class or rich background so u don't relate to the suffering faced by girls from normal families .

As a woman I feel safe when I am out of India... I am terrified to roam in Indian streets alone in night...

This country isn't safe for girls.. that's for sure.
I've been here for one year and the number of harassment I've faced is not even funny. I've been to multiple cities and each of them have the same story. Tho Mumbai has to be the safest out of the lot but even that city isn't completely safe. It was my first month in India and I was in Mumbai and I had this old creepy dude brush the side of my body and walked away. He literally walked up to me and brush the side of his body to mine. I was so freaked out by that I didn't even know what to do cause I was new and never faced that. Then another interesting incident was 6 months go in Delhi.. I was at a boutique looking at lehengas and this man was holding a blouse on top of my clothes to show me how it was look. He brushed his fingers over my shoulder blades... at first I thought it was a mistake but he did it again then again before I pushed the outfit of off me. Another one was just YESTERDAY... in Ahmedabad. I was at the food truck park in SG highway.. there are some clothes stalls there too... so me and my friends started roaming around. I was in simple tee and shorts and that creepy vendor there was video chatting with someone. I literally heard him say to his friend on the phone.. look how the people are dressed... then he turned to phone towards me and pretends to show the man all the different stalls around him. Like W*F. My shorts weren't even short they were up to my knees... but that shouldn't even f**king matter.
And all these incidents are just the ones i can remeber.
And don't even get me started on the stares I get when ever I go out wearing a dress and sleeveless tops. My skin starts crawling sometimes.
Being blind to the problem isn't going to solve anything. People here like to pretend as if nothing is happening and this country is so Mahaan.
Hell even my own cousins are like just IGNORE. This is what the mentality of most Indian girls is. They are so use to just ignoring everything that they don't even notice that what they are doing is wrong.
