The people in shopping mall not every one but few of them touch inappropriately...this is all in Hyd. But I was in Pune for 6 months...I felt the freedom..no one teased or stared...felt so safe.

Australia is not safe if you are alone in a secluded place but always safe in crowded place. But in Hyd anytime willl freak me out. Now I developed phobia when some one walks behind me or approaches me from behind...so I agree with John.

Ripping clothes with eyes is no biggie its when they touch you without consent thats the main issue

Totally agree.
Can't behave the way I want to in public, can't wear the clothes I want to. There's someone always around the corner to pass a lewd comment, or stare with those horribly murderous eyes. Just a day back I was cat called by two men for wearing a slightly deep cut top because of which I eventually had to cover my chest with my scarf. A few months back when I was out on a jog in a slightly secluded area, a creep jumped on the opportunity and started masturbating right there on the road wihout even blinking for a moment as he constantly kept looking at me while he did it. Needless to say I never went back for a jog or a walk in that area or anywhere else after it. It's a reality that one only needs to walk on the road to experience.

It's true, India is not

All those horrible rapes happening, do we need more proof?
And the not reported or ones not covered by media are not even needed to show the terrible condition of women in the country

There is no Law n Order in India left here.

Totally agree with him on people disrobing a woman just with their eyes...🤢...They look at you in such a way that regardless of how many layers of clothes you have on, you are still made to feel like you are walking naked! I have been to many countries in my life but India is the only place where I felt this way!
EDIT: Yes women can be unsafe anywhere in the world and one has to administer some safety measures and use commonsense nonetheless! However, India is the only country where I found everybody taking it for granted that if a woman walks out by herself, she is asking for trouble! This kind of attitude is not just frustrating but very insulting too
