Glad you did a post on this. Because it had such significance and foreshadowing of her entry for the first time into Roop's house, and kicking over the rice tin ... Destiny and fate for sure. âď¸
Kamla praying in the morning to the plant outside (i assume its a Tulsi), and Ishika coming in view and walking in (camera made a point to focus on this)... and slowly coming into clear view as Kamla prays/pooja...
Kicking the rice tin as grah pravesh symbolises, and also taking respect by touching Kamla's feet đł
Also notice in the window eyelock scene , he put the scarf/dupatta around her like a wedding varmala - another hint đ
This show lately has been giving Wedding hints, in how Mota Kaka and his family keep hinting Ishika should get married etc... that she should not go college etc, how this mechanic will one day bring everything of his here in this house etc
But i also felt even before the leap that show and Roop talking of how he will do this when he is married, do this for his wife and that, not treat her like his dad does to his mum etc.. and give respect to her and women... all these little talks was even before the leap...
So i always felt that the Roop show and his character journey would always be the main element of when he gets married... who he will marry, who his wife will be, and will she be able to cope with her sasural and father in law, and Faiba taunts etc... How Roop will be etc
So yeah Roop's love interest/wife would have an important role... and still having main issue and theme... being women empowerment and rights.
Ishika is a character who isn't just one personality female lead, but many layers to her... she can be short tempered/frustrated, tensed (growing up with such family members can do that but it also been eyeopening - that growing up with who she has, its also taught her to speak against how women are treated and stand for them, herself, her parents etc) but she is also cute, lovely, caring, fighter - for her parents, for any wrongdoings... and she will speak up to elders but still do it with and within respect. Just like Roop he is the same...
Yes their personalities might be quite opposites to an extent but same outlook and views they do share.
It good to see hints and foreshadowing in Storytelling and letting audience feel/know, and letting them know what is going to come up.. the meant to be feels, destiny and fate feels etc.
