I have a completely different take here.

I think Zoya already knows that she loves him. You know, when i see this scene where she sees pooja's photograph in the drawer, she thinks for a while, takes a pause and then says about her Sari. Zoya probably thinks that Adi is not over pooja yet and he needs more time. Even after the bar scene and dance scene she thinks he is still sensitive about Pooja. Because according to her he has not given her a reason to believe otherwise. hiding her feelings behind 'best friend' tag is easy.

It is just that confession has to take place...they both know that they are in love but they do not know about the feelings of the other person :)

In that way it becomes similar to Doctors ...or niram...execution could be a hint from HKSD

Interesting to see how it would be like HSKD when the leads in that movie were already in love by the time the girl's father was getting her married. The story was about the guy proving himself worthy of the girl to her father. Aditya has done that multiple times.

I just wonder how it'll make Zoya realize her love

Sarana what you told is true for doctors, but not for Niram. In Niram actually guy is in love and when the third wheel proposes she asks guy what should she do and he asks her to go ahead and say yes. She does it and as their relation progresses she is unable to spend time with her bf and by the time marriage is fixed she is in a dilemma on the thought she has to go away from aby and blurts out I didnt had to go if you had loved me and calls him idiot and scolds him for not falling in love with her. In that scene Sona is innocent, those remark is pretty innocent and her solution for staying together. But for Aby it hits hards and he hugs her. Sona feels different and then she digs through it and reaches the greeting card where he had mentioned Sona Shukriya( Shukriya in that movie meant I love you). They had an emotional scene where he asks her to go ahead with marriage and decides to live the place so that she doesnt back out. They go to railway station together and confession happens. Movie ends there.

But in the show airport can happen but then wedding has to happen and iTV all drama is in wedding mandap 😆😆😆

Wasim has a very patriarchal thought process, he has forced Zoya to meet Arshad but will still wait for her to say yes. If i am not wrong Zoya is going to ask Adi before she says yes. The fact that there is Poosh escapade in the background and the fact that he believes in giving her that 'choice'. Adi will not confess and ask zoya to do what she wants.

Probably its only after she has said yes to Wasim (Arshad is just right on paper as was prakash), Noor tells Adi that she was blackmailed into it. ...Zoya has the letter...

That is why i say they are in love but do not know about each other's feelings...it is all about 'when' the confession happens...or when do they come to know about each others feelings...potentially noor can also tell zoya...:)

P.S. ...Saw Niram Last week on hotstar with english subtitles...its awesome...you have been raving about it in your thread...i had to see it :). It is completely different otherwise because here the parents are at loggerheads with each other...

Also i am not great at putting my thoughts into words...so bear with me :)

@sarana only the realization and confession part I feel from niram. Other dynamics are completely different in both cases. However their aby problem of confession was their parents had given them freedom trusting them. If they fall in love it is breaking their trust. Here also adi can feel it is better zoya with arshad if things work out because with him society will constantly question her.

Yes,..that's exactly what i believe...the rest can go like HSKD movie :)...they are not going to follow anything to the T...they are going to mould it in a different way and just keep the essence same...
