Seems like the Dayans can be in the vicinity of a mandir but she wasn't inside. Plus, even if Ruby was in pain or something, she wouldn't show it.

Holy chants were going on. Surely that must have affected her to some extent. Also did Vedashri not check the mark once more after she got Ruby ? Quite a few loop holes here
