Dear friends, Here's an OS based on the current situation - Initially when CVs brought up the idea of Arshad - I was hoping that he would be cast in good light and that he would actually be a good person and in spite of that Zoya will realize her feelings for Adi and let Arshad know the same. But today after seeing the way Waseem spoke of Adi and how authoritative he's trying to be over Adi and Zoya, I flipped my bit - so here's a short story I imagined! Do leave your feedback and comments! TIA. Forgive any mistakes - I wrote this really fast and didn't really proof read!!
This is Part 1 - I'll try and write the second and concluding part tomorrow!
AdiYa OS: The night that changed it all..2-shot - Part 1
Aditya had promised Zoya never to let go of her. He had assured her that he was here to stay and would always be by her side and nothing on earth could make him break that promise he made - He also had told her that he would NEVER hurt her - Waseem had caught Adi leaving Zoya's room and had given him an earful. Adi had respectfully taken his leave right after. On his drive back home, Adi couldn't help wondering how his relationship with Zoya will shape up. Both their families hated each other and he wasn't even sure if Zoya loved him the way he loved her - but he was determined that he would try his best. Life had given him a second chance and he was not about to let that go to waste. Stopped at a signal, his attention was diverted to the car in the adjacent lane. A man was at the wheel and a lady in the seat next to him. Adi could sense a scuffle between the two - and just then the man held the lady's head from behind and shoved it against the dash of the car ..The lady began bleeding from her head. Adi couldn't sit tight seeing what was going on - and seeing that they were still stuck at the signal ..he turned off his car, got out and pulled the man out of the car - He called the lady out too, and asked her to shove the man's head against the car until it bled - and advised her that no matter what relation she had with that man, there was no point in continuing it - She had to leave him - Adi called the cops who wasted no time in arresting the guy and the woman couldn't thank Adi enough! Adi advised her to leave town and start her life afresh - and that if she was as lucky as him life would give her a second chance too!

Back at the Siddiqui house, Waseem was furious that Zoya had passed out drunk. He couldn't help thinking how low Aditya Hooda could stoop and how shamelessly he could lie to him about Zoya ingesting just juice. He called his friend Imran, and told him that he wanted to waste no more time in getting his son, Arshad and Zoya to meet - that he would convince Zoya to marry Arshad soon - Imran assured him that Arshad would drop in the next day.

At the Hooda house, Arjun was waiting for Adi to return and asked him if he was OK. Noor had already called and briefed him about what had happened at the Siddiqui house but she herself didn't know if Adi had managed to let zoya know of his feelings. Adi told him how the evening had gone by and Arjun advised him that he would definitely have many more opportunities to let her know ..and the fact that Zoya wanted him to always be around her meant that she actually loved him. Adi also felt that that perhaps Zoya also loved him and that thought perked him up. After a quick night shower, he decided to hit the sack.

Morning dawned as always But this morning, zoya was still asleep. Finally after a lot of effort from Noor, Zoya woke up but with a headache. She had no recollection of what had happened the night before. It was 10am already and she had to head out to the Hooda House. There was only one day left for the big day and it was so late already. Noor brought her a glass of lemon juice and told her that she had gotten tired and passed out the night before and Aditya had dropped her home. Zoya didn't have time to try and recollect. She felt better after the lime juice and after a quick shower got ready to leave for the Hooda house - She noticed a folded piece of paper on the ground and picked it up and unfolded it ..but before she could get a glimpse, she heard her father's voice calling for her from down below. Zoya quickly folded back the paper, put it in her bag and headed down. Waseem was not happy to learn that his daughter was on her way to the Hooda house. But a deal was a deal and he was going to keep his end of the deal and reminded Zoya about her end of the deal. That evening Arshad was visiting and Zoya had to be back early to meet him. Zoya sulked and tried making excuses about how much work she had left - but her father wouldn't have it - a deal was a deal and she was Waseem Siddiqui's daughter - brought up to keep her word! And so Zoya agreed and left.

At the Hooda house, Arjun was teasing Adi - was he going to run away today or stay back for Zoya - Adi was past running and he was determined to tell Zoya what he felt! Just when Arjun was pulling Adi's leg, Zoya and the zosh gang including Noor walked in. Adi rushed up to Zoya and asked her if she was OK - She said she had a mild headache and apologized for ruining dinner - she said she didn't know what happened to her. Adi said not to worry. He realized that Zoya indeed had no recollection of what had passed between them the night before! He wandered aimlessly around her admiring the hard work she put into zosh and how she took care of every single detail! That's what made Zosh the #1 event management company. He was proud. His girl had indeed come a long way and unknowingly he had a smile plastered on his face. But even though Zoya was totally into her job, something about her didn't seem right today. She wasn't her usual jovial self. She seemed irritable at times with the staff or at times she seemed to come across as very stern and strict. Adi even overheard Akansha and Shawn discussing about Zoya's irritable behavior. Adi thought perhaps the alcohol was still in her system and she wasn't feeling normal yet. He called her aside and told her to take it easy. He was not any other client who would hold her responsible if things weren't perfect. It was OK ..what she was doing was more than he'd expected!. He asked her to sit with him and tell him if something was bothering her and asked her why she was being so irritable. Just then her phone rang and the caller ID said Arshad - Adi noticed it and Zoya cut the call. Her battery was low again and she set her phone aside to charge and went to check on some decorations. Adi was getting curious about this Arshad - He remembered that there had been a call from him even before but Zoya had failed to mention anything about Arshad to Adi. Perhaps it was another client. He let the thought pass ..but again he heard her phone buzz - Adi decided to go check - he told himself - what if it was an urgent message from the next client - zosh could lose the contract - he wanted to assuage his guilt for wanting to check her phone. The message read "Zoya, i'm wating for you at home. Come home soon, sweetheart!" xoxo Arshad. Adi swallowed hard. Who was this guy sending hugs and kisses in zoya's way and sweetheart?!. He decided to ask her and again called her away from her work. He told her that the staff will take care - that he had something to ask her - he told her she had a message from some Arshad who was waiting for her at her home! Zoya was surprised - "You read my messages" she asked ..Adi stammered ..."I thought it could be important ...Anyway, yeh Arshad kaun hai jo baar baar tumhe phone karta rehta hai?" ..Zoya said .."You asked me what was bothering me ..and it's this Arshad thing ..." And she told him all about her deal with her father. She also said how her father had hated Yash and she had gone against him and married him and look how that turned out ...Adi had flash backs of Waseem's hatred towards him ...Zoya said that she has always displeased her parents and this time if it gave her father happiness to meet this guy, then she would - that she has no intention of marrying him as she's not ready for marriage but she's agreed to meet him ...Her father had said that if she met him, she'd automatically agree ..that he was such a good guy but she knows that will never happen. Adi's face shrank, his heart felt like it was shattered to a million pieces. Zoya would definitely not want to hurt her father again and there was no way Waseem would approve of Adi. Also Adi thought that perhaps if Waseem had chosen Arshad, then he might be good for Zoya. The chances of them being together seemed very bleak to him now. Zoya broke him out from his thought and asked him what was wrong. She told him that he'd be gone to Paris too and she'd not have anyone to share her problems with and that was making her all the more sad. Adi realized that she doesn't even remember the promise he made to her. He was overcome with sadness and found an excuse to leave from there.

While Zoya was telling Adi all this, Noor told Arjun about Arshad too ..Arjun was thinking how it would break his bhai if he got to know about this and just then noticed Adi running up to his room. Arjun followed suit and entered the room before Adi could shut it. Adi hugged him tight and sobbed bitterly. He was broken and Arjun realized that Adi had gotten to know about Arshad. He told Arjun that Zoya only thinks of him as a friend. That her father didn't like him. That she will not hurt her father again or marry against his wishes. That Adi-Zoya could never be. He scolded Arjun for giving him the stupid idea of even thinking that he and Zoya were a possibility. Arjun tried telling him that he should still tell Zoya what he felt but Adi said this time he was going to do what he felt and not get swayed by Arjun and his childish ideas. He had decided that Arshad would be better the him for zoya - her parents would be happy - she wouldn't have to face the wrath and cruel talks of the society - and his love was not that selfish that he would want her to walk on fire,for the rest of her life, or fight her family and society to marry him. He had decided to let go! but he would stay back - he no longer wanted to run from his past - he would keep his end of the promise he made to zoya and be there for her as a friend. Life doesn't give second chances - it only throws curve balls! But he'd hit this ball and while the end result may not be what he had hoped for - h wouldn't run away from the ball this time.
