response in Jaane tu ya jaane na funny and good.

HSKD was silly and childish movie. So taking it as example is also silly and childish. 😛

Practically you cannot beat up 5-6 man it doesnt matter if you learn martial arts or karate. Try to stop it peacefully as a man i will advise them to stop. I can easilly stop this. I know the trick behind it.

And by any chance still they continue doing it you can always threaten and scare them by saying one of my friend works in the police department i m seriously calling him you better shut your mouth and simply you can leave that place. Its okay just one day. not everyday is same people.
Its about the location to be honest. Jahan sab proper achi family se aate ho trusted place ho sab jante ho tumhe wahi dinner karne jao wahi ghumne jao. itni complicated life kyu banani hai pocket main spray rakh ke karate sikh ke, bus koi bande ko rakho apne sath jo situation ko handle kar sake.

the only option here for women to be either heavily trained physical in acrobatics/martial arts for self-defense or get heavily armed to protect themselves..

Actually pepper spray can work well but the issue is how do you carry it at all times. I do not even carry a big bag most of the times and if I do its pretty tough to find it when you need it.
But I do agree with quicksilver about keeping quite or retailiating on the basis of the situation.

IDT you understood the context or read the entire post which is like a half minute read.
I said this has been happening for years in almost most kinds of entertainment media.
Also, sorry to say Jane tu ya Jane na was a silly childish movie catering to teens. IDR any eve teasing scene from that either tbh. Sushant was an abusive partner if you are quoting that.

Yaar pata hain kehna kaafi asaan hain safe jagah pe jaao but safe jagah mein bhi aisi cheezein hoti hain. Take public transport for example- people use shared cabs, buses, metros, local trains all over India but unfortunately many have faced situations in all such mediums.
Though I agree it's best to stop such things peacefully. As you said what works in our country is influence and not law.

Also @quicksilver
That drilling nose thing- you'd be surprised a stand up comic actually said that once in his set that these weirdos can get repulsed by such things so why not try? Lol.

It happens everywhere i know but it will be easier to handle with little educated people. also i believe every girl has that friend who is pro in handling such situation. Its not a movie thingy. i m practical person i m not saying this cause this is just online debate, only thing you need to learn is that you should know how to scare such people.

In JTYJN- I was referring Imran's char saving Rimi's char from his cousins pretending having AIDS.

So does getting heavily armed or trained in martial arts. Not everyone goes for it and can. You are acrobating with one guy, the rest come and lunge for your arms and legs. You can't blow up so many men with martial arts techniques. This is not real either.

Unfortunately, this is something which doesn't have a full proof solution. Everything depends upon the crowd, situation, your surrounding. You have to act accordingly. You come across 5-6 men, best is somehow trying to leave the place quietly without coming under notice. That's difficult though but you have to somehow diffuse the situation. Acting smart here is better acting brave here.

Thankfully, the place where I live is extremely fearful of law. If I ever come across it, all I have to scream once or just show them me dialling 999. Even roaming alone at midnight in a dersserted place is 95% safe. So I haven't never really experienced a severe situation.

^even that cannot really help but having trained in self-defense can help you find some way out, this is obvious that one can't fight so many people anyway. secondly gov has allowed women to carry guns for protection again this is not a full proof solution, but atleast it can come in handy to scare some...

and lastly pepper spray can help, but again not in every situation. one must take precautions in a public place...it's actually impossible to stop eve-teasing every woman goes through it from some sort of way or another. Good for you though...US laws r strict but even there we get to hear stories of rape against women but atleast their offenders r caught n executed..here in our country we r giving every possible chances to rapists of nirbhaya to evade hanging even when it is announced🥱

Run, Hide or Fight. In this order. It is better to know when to roll and when to fold and live for another day unless deadly force is your only option for survival.
