Varun Dhawan is building up his resume. He has already shown he can do commercial movies. October showed people he has talent. I didn't like any of his prior movies, but there is something very likeable about the actor himself. He also has tremendous screen presence. If Lady Luck also keeps smiling on him, he will rule BW in a few years.

Movie-making need not always be about larger than life characters and implausible situations and loud acting and lewd songs. It can be a quiet movie also. October, if it had been made as regional cinema, would've probably been a success. Somehow, even when the same audience watches a BW movie, the expectations seem to be different. I don't understand it, but there you have it.

Agree that October was a slow paced narrative film but it definitely wasn't boring. It was an experiment and the director should be lauded for such an effort...and GODDAMN! please some people should take a chill. different movies should be made to break monotony of crappy bollywood films besides how many different films on different subjects are made...

this film has a 7.7 imdb rating. the film has been declared average/semi-hit by a lot of trade websites. how can some people just assume here writing on a computer/mobile that it didn't connect..did you actually go to theaters n find it out your assumptions are based on trade websites anyway..

besides DHAWAN's career has a list of films i dislike. I don't want to even name them. atleast he made two efforts to shine..one was BADLAPUR and second is this...both the movies I have seen in theatres..secondly the leading lady is beautiful, gorgeous and talented.

a film is always subjected to like or dislike...just because u didn't like something that doesn't mean u can generalize

Tu rehn de! Just in another topic, u GENERALIZED that people dont like to watch dances in Bollywood films. There cannot be a Bigger Wrong Generalization than that! That too in a week where Dilbar is Blockbuster! đŸ€Ł

Why cannot people enjoy all kind of cinema, never understood this hatred for masala movies or so called parallel movies by some people.
While it is fine to dislike movies, but to dish the set of fans according to their choices is kinda meh.
It's fine to enjoy Singham or Golmaal 4 without finding logic while also appreciating the beauty of something like Udaan or October.

Finally a logical response.đŸ‘đŸŒ

Otherwise, most opinions on October are black and white on this forum.
