Really you thought that was the only problem with the movie?
I just watched the movie 2 days back and wanted to open a thread but then saw your post and thought would share my 2 cents here.

It was an AWFUL movie,I have never seen a more superficial movie on friendship before.. like what was that? You could not connect to their friendship at all..

the story and editing was all over the place..one moment she is breaking her marriage, cut to next scene they are all screaming about going to Thailand 😳 Nothing made any sense... I can't believe people liked this movie..

And I really like Kareena and it was good to see her back on screen but I wish it was in a better movie..acting was also so bad..Sonam is expected but even Kareena wasn't good here..

And then those product placements..god so annoying!

I don't know why people keep complaining about the friendship and how it seemed fake. I finally watched it today and thought it was wonderful and their friendship at every step was more believable than any male friendship I watched in Bollywood movies that are so over the top. Specially Avni and Sakshi's friendship. Their friendship looked realistic as they were video chatting, joking about sex life, talking about not getting any, relationship problem... I don't remember anyone complaining about the friendship in ZNMD and most of the film the men felt like they were strangers.

Yeah but you have to understand that this was the only way they could get money to even make the film like they wanted to. A male star doesn't have to compromise this way. Now that the ceiling has been broken somewhat at least, then the next film will perhaps not need this many obvious placements.

To each his/her own I guess!

I thought friends in ZNMD had good chemistry and it was superficial as hell in Veere di wedding...there wasn't even one scene where I could connect to their friendship or their characters...honestly I thought I would like it because I liked the trailer & I like kareena & swara as actors...but this was just bad in my opinion... 😕

Sometimes some scenes felt natural and the bond of friendship was there and sometimes you just didn't feel it and it did feel superficial and forced. Terrible editing and screenplay. Movie seemed so haywire and all over the place. Agreed trailer looked promising although most will disagree. Overall disappointed, enjoyed Aisha better

VDW was crap. I too wanted to open a topic but then got too lazy. I had the same problem with the film after watching it as i had before watching it. According to the writers, female friendships mean boozing n discussing ur sex life with each other. Beech mein thode bahot zabardasti ke problems daal do, aur le...script tayaar. Aur haan, thoda sa aur progressive ' banaate hai...lets also include a gay couple in the film and insert one masturbation scene for sensationalism. Whatta film! Wow!
Kareena looks absolutely disinterested as Kalindi. Sonam was cringeworthy. The only notable performances were of swara bhaskar, shika talsania and Vivek Mushran the gay chachu. Absolute waste of 3 hours.
