After Kasauti Zindagi Kay, 90s drama Swabhimaan to make a comeback.

Swabhimaan is all set to bring the show
back on small screen.
The Mahesh Bhatt production that
introduced many Bollywood stars like Manoj
Bajpai, Ashutosh Rana, Sandhya Mridul, and
had a stellar cast comprising Kitu Gidwani,
Deepak Parashar, Harsh Chhaya among
many others, will witness a 20-year-leap.
The original cast will be retained and new
actors will be roped in as their kids.
"I am remaking it. Amit Khanna [producer]
advised me to revisit the show, and I'm
trying to put it together. It's a different
storyline, with the original cast reprising
their roles. We will have new actors playing
our kids. The show will see a 20-year leap. I
will be back as Rishabh Malhotra," Rohit told
Mid Day.
The actor says that show has been getting a
great response on Youtube.
"The show is now streaming on YouTube,
and still has the same effect on viewers.
What Shobhaa De wrote about me 'the
Prince of Housewives' is making a
comeback," he said.

Rohit Roy recently made his comeback with
Vikram Bhatt's web series Memories, where
he plays a character who can delve into the
memories of a person by holding his hand.

I heard this show was a cult show, is it coming back with the same cast?

I grew up with kyunki kahani kasuatii shows. mere ghar pe 8:30 was booked for kasuatii. 10 for kahani and 10:30 pm for kyunki 😆so know about them only. but what abt these 90s shows ? r they gud???

I heard 90s shows were far better than ekta's 2000s ones!

90s shows were realistic I heard. but what make a ekta shows more entertaining to watch was the drama. hate ekta as much as people want but can't deny she made such fashionable characters n also high production values. Ekta heroines were far from doormats though. Her main three heroines tulsi Parvati prerna all were strong. though show storylines were over dramatic but actors acting was on point.

truth is they were very entertaining though far from reality😆when gul khans fans bash ekta they need to see her heroines r doormats not ekta's. they were more progressive than gopis akshara anika sonakshi of tv world😆

Tulsi didn't seem progressive to me neither did Parvati seem too progressive, they look progressive in comparison to crap that is dished out today!

for e.g. that Erica character sonakshi was a well educated doormat. guy slap her father his mom insults him. she still comes back running to him. they stole kasuatii storyline with 8 years old girl. dev not k owing about her daughter but she wasn't strong like prerna😆

I had no issues with the storyline of KRPAB, sonakshi was pretty strong, but they lacked chemistry and were just bad actors!

prerna character goes through various transitions. Erica doesn't have that chops. she needs to learn hindi properly first.

I agree she is a bad actress, shaheer was bad in that show too.
