Like we draw inspiration from Alexander the Great's attitude towards life and his determination towards achieving his goals while reading various stuffs on his life, Rohit has adapted that grit in his real life too while playing his role.. like he said in the interview with Cine Speaks that he wants many things from his current character to stay with him throughout his life! He was talking about these qualities of Alexander the Great.
I am very happy for him. 😃

Again, thank you very much Inlieu for sharing these interesting stuffs on Rohit! 😳

My dear Inlieu,

I have read the article carefully. While all that you have said about it, and about him, are true, there was something about it that I did not quite like. It was the closing comment that he did not work for 2 years after Razia Sultan because he did not feel like working for a PH other than Swastik, which felt like home and where he was comfortable.
Now this is not at all the appropriate attitude for an extremely talented young actor who is, I presume, looking to go places. He can't waste time waiting for Swastik and Siddharth Kumar Tewary to cast him once every two years. He is now 32, in the prime of his life as an actor, and he has to get going and work continuously. He has to stay in the public eye. He has quality in spades, but unfortunately, in this rat race in both TV and films, it is not talent that is always the decisive factor. Rohit needs good PR and he has to look out for good openings, not necessarily in Swastik.

I say all this because he is a special talent and I don't want him to waste his time waiting for Siddharth Tewary to call him up. This role as Alexander has given him a tremendous visibility boost, and he should capitalise on it. Once Porus ends, there will be just 6 months of a window of opportunity for him, for after that he will fade out of the consciousness of the public and the PHs.

TV here is mostly a women's medium. I so wish Rohit gets a big break in films and hits the jackpot.

Yes, I was very happy to see that he felt this way about the influence of his character on his personal and professional life. I do hope, like Alexander, he will conquer hearts all over the world!

You know, Aunty, I also found that last paragraph in the article jarring. If he felt this way before starting Porus, I understand, but not anymore. Yes, SidT is still one of the biggest producers on Indian television, but Rohit can't just restrict himself to Swastik or even to historicals. Not that there is anything wrong with the genre but he needs to show his range. He said in an interview that he liked the scale of historical shows, the larger than life aspect, but I am sure he will find this in other genres or movies too. Also, surely he's well aware of the botched job in this show and that scale or budget is not sufficient to ensure the quality of a show. The story must be up there too.

I hope, going by his earlier statement though, "after playing this character, I am more open towards life. Everything that I feared earlier does not scare me anymore" that he is now going to be open to other production houses or ventures.

I remember him saying elsewhere that he had wanted to try for films but refrained as he did not have the confidence and that now he feels he has gained enough of that to try. I hope this comes true and that he does wait for the right movies, and not the B grade stuff that a lot of the TV actors jump at. (Though knowing his pickiness about good roles, I expect and trust he will make the right decision).
We should probably also keep telling him not to wait too long because people become out of sight, out of mind with the fickle audience we have these days.
