Vivaan and Meera were both shown remembering PK, Meera crying holding their family photo from her homecoming and Vivaan in guilt for hating her...

In the garage scene he just wants Meera to stay away and even tells her he does not know what he will do. So he is not trying to hurt her intentionally and orders her to stay away because he knows the extent of his anger. I am not excusing it, but that is what was presented in the in the scene...

As per plot convenience, Meera did not tell Vivaan anything about the kidnapping video so he is still stuck on the fact that, when he told her to stay away and let him deal with the situation, she did not..
