Reunion
The new day bought new hopes to all. Maan and his friends devised a plan to crash a wedding well unknown to Maan he was going to crash his own wedding. Geet on the other hand happily welcomed the guests Dadima and Dev.
"Thank you dear, for accepting our proposal, Dadima said blessing her would be daughter in law. "I'm happy you chose me Dadima, Geet replied. "So you are on a semester break right, you are going to complete your MBBS soon, your parents told me, Dadima said. "Yes Dadima but my break will end soon but I have asked for a leave so they gave me, Geet said. "Geet, so did you meet my grandson here, She asked.
"Ji Dadima, main Maanji se mili aur apna parichay (introduction) bhi unhe diya aur kal unhe apni shadi ka nimantran (invitation) bhi diya, par wo mantra padhne ke naam se bhag khade hue, She giggled narrating the whole incident.
Dadima and Dev laughed along with her, "Bhabhi, you are great, that was funny, Dev said still giggling. "Thank you Dev, but your brother won't be back to you if I don't drop the bombs on him, She giggled. "Does my grandson know your qualifications Geet, Dadima asked. "No Dadima, I meet him like any other normal girl here, I like the simple life here so I behave like one of them when I'm visiting the village...they are my people , Geet said. "Geet, dear could you show us the Ashram of that priest thanks to whom my grandson ran away from home, Dadima asked. "Maaji, guruji bahut ache aur siddh (holy) purush (man) hain humare gaon ke, Her dad said. "Mujhe pata hai beta, bas main bhi darshan kar loon us maha (great) purush (man) ke ek baar, Dadima said virtually throttling that sage the umpteenth time in her mind.
Geet took them to the Ashram and Dadima entered the premises along with Geet. "Dadima, aap yahin rukiye main Guruji ko bula kar lati hoon, Geet said. Dadima and Dev nodded waiting for her. Geet went in to meet Guruji, "Guruji, mera vivah hone wala hai, jahan meri shadi ho rahi hai wo log aapse milna chahte hain. Aap unse mil lete to mujhe khushi hoti, She said. "Kyun nahi beti, shubh (good) mahurat (time) bhi dekhna hoga humari pyari beti ki shadi ka, Guruji smiled blessing her. Geet and Guruji went outside where Dadima and Dev were waiting. "Dadima, Guruji aa gaye, Geet smiled. As soon as Dadima looked at Guruji she was furious in an instant she took a stick which was lying on the ground and ran after him.
"You liar, you cheat so this is where you have been..I will not leave you now, She yelled while Guruji now ran for his life recognizing who she was. "Meri baat to suno ...Savu, bache dekh rahe hain ab humari yeh daud bhag ki umra (age) nahi rahi, He said running for his life. "Savu, don't you dare call me that Mr Amar Singh Khurana, She yelled. "Dadima, rukiye kya aap ek dusre ko jaante hain, Geet finally came in between the two stopping the war. "Jaante hain, poocho beta iss aadmi se apni patni aur bete ko itne saal pehle chod ke yahan aa kar sadhu bana baitha hai, iski sari zimmedariyan (responsibilities) maine poori ki apne bete ki padhai (education) uski shadi ab uske bachon ko akele paalna (upbringing), ye tab bhi nahi aaya jab humara beta nahi raha, Dadima said furiously.
"Shikhar ab duniya mein nahi hai, Guruji said. "Nahi uska aur humari bahu Shikha ka accident ho gaya ye bacha Dev hai, humara chota pota hai aur jan na (want to know) chahoge ki humara bada pota kahan hai, She said sarcastically. "Kahan hai wo, He asked. "Maan, humara bada pota jisko apne dada jaisa bhoot chadha hua hai Pandit ban ne ka, She said. "Maan, humara pota hai, He asked. "Haan aur tumhari wajah se ghar chodke yahan bhag aaya, She said angrily. "Par usne mujhe bhagne ke bare mein nahi bataya main aaj hi poochta hoon us se ...to Geet beti ki shadi kya humare pote se hogi, He said. "Haan par use iske baare mein ab kuch nahi batana, let him figure out everything himself, we have a plan will you help us, Dadima asked. "Haan main poori madad (help) karunga tumhari aur ab main wapas ghar chalunga tumare sath, mujhe maaf kar do, He said. "Wo hum baad mein dekhenge, to theek hai ab suno tumhe kya karna hai, Dadima told her plan which made her husband roll out in laughter. "Maan ki halat to bahut buri hone wali hai, He said controlling his laughter.
Maan and his friends were making their own stupid plans to stop the wedding. "Maan kyun na tu jaake Geet ke mata pita ke aagey apni dil ki baat Geet ko bol de, Yash said. "Haan aur phir Geet hi isko dande maar ke bahar nikal de kya Yash tu bhi kuch bhi bolta hai, Aditya said. "Maine bhi ye hi socha tha par Geet ji naraz ho jayengi aur humari mitrata (friendship) bhi toot jayegi is se, koi aur upay (solution) sochte hain, Maan said. "Maan ji, They turned around to see Geet coming their way. Maan stood up to run but his friends held him on the spot. "Kya kar raha hai bhagega to teri baat kabhi nahi banegi, jaa us se baat kar aur use apne dil ki baat apne dhang (way) se samjhane (understand) ki koshish kar, Both of them whispered.
"Kya samjhaoon ye to mujhe apne vivah ke mantra padhwane (chant) ke chakkar mein hain...main baad mein aata hoon, He again tried to run but his friends didn't let him and now Geet was standing in front of them. "Maan hum kuch aur aushadhiyan (medicinal herbs) lekar aate hain jo Guruji ne batayi thi, tu baad mein aa jana, They went leaving him alone with Geet but hid behind a tree to watch him as they knew their innocent friend might commit a blunder anytime.
Maan stood there nervously rooted to his place now fearing what bomb she will drop on him next. Geet looked at him then hid her smile and said in a casual tone. "Maan ji, aap yahan kya kar rahe hain. Main aapko kabse dhoondh rahi thi, Geet said.
"Haan kyun nahi dhundhogi, mujhse mantra jo padhwane hain tumhe apne vivah ke, He mumbled. "Kuch kaha aapne, Geet said. "Nahi, aap mujhe kyun dhundh rahi thi kuch kaam tha kya, He asked. "Maan ji, ab kya hum tab hi milenge jab humein ek dusre se kaam ho, hum to mitra(friends) hain na aur aaj mujhe aapko ek khushi ki baat batani thi isliye, Geet said. "Maan beta bhag le, iski khushi ki baat tere liye kabhi achi nahi hui pichli baar ye mantra padhwa rahi thi ab kya apne dulhe se milwayegi, He mumbled. "Ye aap kya budbuda rahe hain spasht (clear) boliye na kya kehna hai, She said. "Nahi, aap boliye kya batana tha, He asked.
"Ji wo log aa gaye aur unhone haan kar di, aap ke liye main laddu laayi thi khud bana ke isi khushi mein muh meetha kar lijiye, She said. "Mujhe nahi khana, He said. "Kyun aap khush nahi, She said sadly.
"Nahi nahi aisi baat nahi aap dukhi mat hoiye, laiye main kha leta hoon, He said. "Aapko pata hai unki Dadi bahut achi hain, She said looking at his reaction.
Maan now started to miss his Dadimaa too he was selfish may be that is why God is punishing him, he thought. "Aap milenge na, mere hone wale pati se, wo bhi kuch dino mein aa jayenge, She said. Aditya and Yash found Geet's behavior strange. "Ye kuch chupa rahi hai, Yash said. "Mujhe bhi lag raha hai, ye Maan ko parakh (testing) rahi hai par kyun...iski shadi to ...kahin Maan se to nahin hone wali, He said. "Kyaaa, Yash almost yelled but Aditya put his hand on his mouth. "Haan mujhe lag raha hai kuch gadbad hai, chal iske ghar chal ke dekhte hain, He said wanting to clear his doubts. He could easily see that Geet was smiling whenever Maan looked down but changed her expressions to serious one when he looked up so he doubted her behavior. "Nahi...mujhe kuch kaam hai, He said.
"Kyun, aap hi to mere yahan ke sabse ache mitron (friends) mein se ek hain, She insisted. "Maan, tu abhi tak yahin hai, Aditya called coming out of their hiding. "Geetji main chalta hoon, Maan said happy to see his friends but they had a different plan. "Maan, hum ssab log aaj Geet ko ghar chodte hue chalte hain, Yash said. "Nahi , main chali jaungi aap log kasht (trouble) na karein, Geet said. "Haan Geetji theek keh rahi hain, chalo Guruji chintit (worried) ho rahe honge, He said and his friends literally wanted to bang their heads somewhere as their innocent friend just casually thwarted their plan. Geet went to her house hurriedly thanking her stars she was saved today, while Aditya and Yash thought of a different way to confirm their doubts they weren't going to let their innocent friend make a fool out of himself while poor Maan was really sad and now dialed his Dadima's number...to share his heart.
