There is going to be a 3-way clash on 3rd August, as Karwaan, Mulk and Fanney Khan are going to release that day.

All three movies are of different genres. Fanney Khan is a musical comedy-drama film, Karwaan is a slice-of-life road film, and Mulk is a social courtroom-drama film.

But target audience is the same for all three movies, which is the multiplex audience living in metro-cities. All three movies will also depend on WOM and have limited appeal.

Which movie you think, will do the best business at the box office? Also tell which movie among these three is going to be your first preference.

I think all three movies are going to take a similar low opening, with Fanney Khan having a slighter edge, but Karwaan might end up doing better business, as it looks like a better made film from the trailer.

All 3 films look decent. Unfortunately all 3 will lose because of the clash, unless 2 of these get a bad WOM and 1 gets a good WOM - only then one of them has a chance.

Movies of Mulk's genre do reasonably well - and it looks low-budget (mostly courtroom scenes). So it would be the biggest gainer, unless of course Fanney Khan or Karwaan spring up some surprises.

Fannay Khan easily .It has relatively bigger awareness compared to other two movies which are unknown with zero buzz .Also the starcast of FK is superior to other two movies ..

But these movies have no clear run with Gold/SJ arriving mid week in their second week.So all of them are going to sink without a trace in the final tally.

Fanney Khan will win. Never heard about Karwaan until this thread.

My personal preference will be Mulk. Let's see how much it can be relatable.

It's stupid on the part of makers to release all three movies on the same date. It's not even a holiday, just a normal weekend. Don't know what were they thinking.

Only FK is the significant release here .Movies like Mulk / Karwaan get released every weekend and no body knows about them .They go unnoticed .

You are underestimating Mulk and Karwaan. Yes, Fanney Khan is a bigger film, but at the end of the day, it'll also completely depend on WOM like the other two movies. And going by the trailers, Fanney Khan looks like the weakest film content-wise among the three.

Why are they releasing 3 movies together.
Fanned Khan might get decent initials, but then, whichever movie has good WOM will win the battle.
I am looking forward to Karwaan.
