http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5949047/Egyptologists-open-giant-granite-sarcophagus-Alexander-Great-buried.html

historians and archaeologists have warned people and media not to get very excited because tomb may not be of Alexander...since it is granite coffin while Alexander was buried in brilliant gold sarcophagus and his tomb was ten stories high..however, it is unknown where the sarcophagus vanished after 250 AD.

Some speculate that to save the tomb...it was taken to a remote area and was buried in a simple coffin.

Somehow, I don't think this will be Alexander's tomb. a 6 foot granite coffin seems far too modest for Alexander the Great. Still, it would be a fascinating find as it is unopened since the time it was sealed.
Archaeologists will have a field day! Or days!!

Where did they get the DNA of Philip and Olympias? Zeus of course would be inaccessible!😉

Even If this is indeed Alexander the governments will not allow the archeologists to disclose it as there will be huge huge pressure we know...so attempt is futile...Egyptian government has already taken the coffin into their custody...so not much hope...

As I predicted the governments will never let the archeologists open the coffin before checking what is inside it themselves as it will ignite the debate again...
Another mummy of a woman is find near the coffin
