Yes, that is what I too understand from my admittedly limited research. Not only Barsine, but her cousin and Alexander's third wife Parysatis as well.

I agree with you regarding Roxana, she has become somewhat unbearable and I am super happy right now that Pankhuri Awasthy did not turn up for Roxana's role.

It relieves me that Sanskrit is still admired and You have certainly pointed out what i wanted to, for anyone who respects and loves sanskrit, bad uccharan is definitely a blunder. How good was Chanakya of ImagineTv's Chandragupta Maurya!

Alexander's decision to murder puru (even though totally fictional) irritates me, and speculations of Laachi's death agitate me :'(. Initially Rohit and Anusuya were only reason i decided to watch the show, but Laachi totally awed me with her mischeivious expressions and bravery.

I see that we must be content with whatever fictious stories they cook up, no hope of history! Chandra Nandini, Ashoka Samrat and many similar shows despite of excellent cast, costumes and set, dissapointed several viewers who expect some real history from them (including me). Sony TV's Porus cannot be blamed for all the fiction it gives us in name of history, yeh saare 'etihaasik natak' udahran maatra hai iss baat ka ki 'Do not expect history from indian television'.

I was hesitant to say something so obvious at the begining of post, I'll conclude here by saying this as Great post as alway with mild yet hillarious humor. Thanks a ton for writing this for us! And...really sorry of replying late
