My column for episode 25

Episode starts from Uma on the door and trying to tell something and Kanak no mood to listen just than light went off. Kanak gets scared and tries to go out but she steps back as Uma is on the door and she can't trust him. She sits on the corner of the bathtub and starts chanting RAM RAM which she normally do when she is scared. She remember how vedansh use to tease her in their house. Scene was Kanak was hiding under the blanket and vansh tell to come out as now lights are back but she refuses to believe and ask ved and ved also tells the same thing but when she comes out vansh scares her by becoming ghost with the help of torch she beats vansh and gets angry on ved as they both are same but ved put on the light and says that they were only teasing her and all 3 siblings began their pillow fight. Cute scene but today they are no where it's only darkness for her . just then she sees the light Uma was holding the lantern Kanak recognize that it's the same which she bought for Bhabho that light relax her and she tries to sleep. Uma kept the lantern on the door and sits there. This scene shows many things that Uma can go and sleep on his bed but he doesn't as his wife is not comfortable so he also denies any comfort and the person who is responsible for her fear sorrows is bringing light for her it's a poetic situation for Kanak. Uma can't be loved nor can be hated. And it's not Kanak fault. Kanak was sleeping inside and Uma on the door both are facing same situation but can't see each other because of the door the door can be a metaphor for Kanak heart as well as it will be closed till she herself open it for him and till than he has to sit outside and wait.

Coming back to episode while sleeping Kanak feel in the water Uma wakes up and tell her to hold the sides for the support and come out. She does the same . uma remove the towel and give it to her. He put it on the space between the wooden grill on the door but she refuses and push it back he again put and push it back and it happen again. Uma was upset because she is not ready to listen not ready to take his help he understand that she is disturb but she is not ready to understand him. Kanak change wet clothes and put a kurta from the hanger . uma and Kanak spend the whole night. In morning Kanak still sleeping in bathroom Uma bought some clothes for her and wish her good morning Kanak wakes up. He tells that today there is a satyanarayan pooja and she have to wear clothes which he has bought as it's a traditional set and he is going outside so she can be comfortable and take her own time. Uma goes out of room and Kanak comes from the bathroom she sees that the lantern is still on and says that when she was wasting water he gave her big lecture but now he is wasting oil but that's nothing. She sees her lantern and smiled Uma came back as he had forgotten the lantern and seeing Kanak smiling he smiles back. Their first shared smile. Kanak notice Uma and put down the lantern and cover herself with ghagra which Uma has bought for her he also bow his eyes and leave the room. Massisa ask about the night but Uma says that everything will be fine.

Everyone was waiting for Kanak to see her in traditional dress and jewellery but to everyone shock she came down wearing her own contemporary dress.
