Right from that day, from that night, he did the only best thing he could. He was fulfilling his beautiful promise. Promise to his mohabbat, that's how he addressed her that night.
Years have passed... For them it's 8 years after that night. For us it's just one. But lots of things happened. Lots of promises have been made which eventually from some reason couldn't have been kept on. But he... he never forgot this one. Coz he transformed that promise in his life line, his life purpose, his ultimate goal... in his reason to breathe and live.. his heart made decision long before his mind and voice decided to say it loud.. decision to become a man he is even now.
" If there is anyone who can bring back my respect to me, it's you Suraj. If there is someone who can provide me with love and safety then it's you Suraj. If there is someone with whom I want to spend my entire life, then it's you Suraj. Today I am saying it to you... I love you.

She did knew what she wants. Pardon, whom she wants and what she wants from him. She knew he, only he can give her love, safety, respect and happiness which she wants. And she said it loud.
I always wondered why Suraj's promise didn't contained present time. Why he didn't said that he loves her right there in that moment, in that fraction of second. Why he talked more about future? Now after their 8 years and one ours, I finally understand. I followed Chakor's story since before she was born. Since she become bandhua. But all love and admiration for her wasn't enough to understand her the way Suraj did. After all what happend to them, and to me following their story I finally understand. He knew, he was 100% convinced (and he was right) that he will get infinite number of opportunities to say I love you to her. But nothing from that will ever matter to her if he doesn't prove it, if he doesn't provide her safety and happiness and gives her respect. If he doesn't give her what she needs and what she was craving for all her life and what she asked him to give her.
On the other side, she kinda already knew he will do it. He was already doing it, even before she said anything. But she said it because she wanted him to do it directly, I'm front of her eyes and in front of eyes of the world.
Together they were perfect even before, but that night they were complete picture. Complete picture which even different kind of separations couldn't destroy. Now, after 8 years that picture doesn't look any older, it's still beautiful and perfect. With one little adorable detail the picture become even more complete, even more beautiful. Divine.
Could she have imagined that night, that one day instead of asking him to play with their daughter she will ask him to go and say "I love you to some unknown girl. Could she imagined that to provide her, their daughter, their country safety he will have to go and say "I love you to some girl called Naina? To save her respect, to provide her safety and give her happiness he will have to say "I love you to someone else, could he imagined that? Probably not. But if this has happened day after their first anniversary, after their confession, they both would still do the same. They are just lucky enough that it didn't happened back then and that it's happening now when life has already thought them some important lessons, now when heart learnt to feel and mind to think separately yet in sync with each other.
She asked him to give her what she needed from him and what he wanted to give her. She asked him to give it to her directly. What is the difference now after 8 years? She will ask him to do the same. This time not only to give safety and happiness to her but to their love child and to their country. This time she will ask him to do it indirectly. By saying "I love you to someone else.
Go Suraj. Go and prove your love once again. Love isn't just feeling it's proving also. Prove your lady love and everyone else that "I love you to Naina can never be the same as "I love you a lot to Chakor. Do it for her. Do it for your daughter who needs to be safe and happy playing on ground of your country, of your Azaadganj.
Let him go Chakor. No, better than that, you send him Chakor. Ask him to give you all what he was giving you all this time. Ask him to give it to you different way, on a bigger level now, using these three so ordinary words. Yes they are just ordinary words. Coz only purpose of them is to lead him, you and everyone else in better future. In better tomorrow.
And it will be hard. But brace yourself... this will pass too. Once it's over you will know what you always knew.. Suraj can never love anyone like his Chakor. And no one can never love Suraj like his Chakor.
I know that this post is probably confusing.. I left many things unexplained.. That's because this is edited version of something I wrote yesterday after the promo. And I was like, I won't post it before episode air, just in case some unpleasant surprises pop up from nowhere, but I couldn't sustained myself after today's episode. Maybe if I tell you that the scene from Sukor's bedroom pushed me to post this earlier then I planned, you will find answers on important questions which I probably left unanswered in this post.
