I also don't think the engagement s happening.

Just like Mahi not feeling it at all.

I dont think even a sober Anushka will be able to actually get engaged to vedant.

I think it's less of a realization and more of letting go of all inhibitions. Her instincts tell her Sid loves her and no external factors like Riddhi, Pharma deal, Heera, Appa, Vedant to stop her from following her guts, when she's drunk.
