Phobia movie discussion

Anybody seen Phobia? I've watched it just now because of a thread recommendation here. I want to know the meaning behind the ending. I know Mehak can see glimpses of her future but why did she behave that way with Shaan? He was only helping her and she went all psycho on him? So Shaan's intentions were wrong? Or she assumed them to be? She was running from him like he was going to murder or rape her. And her friend Nikki died or was alive? I just felt whatever happened in the end was just unfortunate and all because of Mehak's stupidity.
