Ishita's Car:
Ishita is driving the car, following Adi. A tensed Aliya is sitting next to her on the passenger seat and Shagun is sitting on the back seat.
Ishita: Shagun, Mani ko call kar ke batao ki Adi Roshni ko le ke mandir se bhag gaya hai. Usko bolo Police Station call kare aur police to le ke is direction me nikle. Jaise hi hum Adi ko rok payenge hum use hamara exact location message kar denge.
Shagun: Haan... haan main abhi call karti hoon... Mani... Oh Gosh Adi...
Ishita: Yeh Adi kaise paglon ki tarah gadi chala raha hai! Aise toh accident ho jayega inka. Adi Beta please please be careful! Gadi toh theek se chalao Beta please!!
Aliya: Amma aap bus please carefully unka peecha karo.
Shagun finishes talking to Mani. Suddenly Ishita's phone rings. Aliya grabs her phone to check it.
Aliya: Amma Ruhi ka call aa raha hai.
Ishita: I am sure wahan hearing shuru ho gai hogi. Phone mat uthao Aliya. Unhe abhi Pihu pe focus karne do. Woh sab abhi hamari help karne ke liye wahan se kuch kar bhi nahi sakte.
Within seconds of the call going unanswered a text comes to Ishita's phone. Aliya checks it.
Ishita: Ruhi ka hai na? Kya likha usne?
Aliya: Amma court mein hearing bus start ho raha hai.
Ishita: Ok. Koi reply mat bhejo. Murugan please... please Murugan... mere dono bacchon ki raksha karna. Kuch galat mat hone dena. Please Murugan!
Aliya: Amma don't worry Pihu ke case mein Simmi Bua hamare saath hai toh kuch nahi hoga.
Ishita: I know Aliya. Par pata nahi aaj morning se Simmi ko le ke ek ajeeb si feeling aa rahi hai. Jaise ki who phir kuch gadbad karne wali hai. Lekin Raman ko Simmi pe pura bharosa hai. Aur is waqt mere pass Raman ke bharose pe bharosa karne ke alawa aur koi option hai bhi nahi. Bus wahan kuch gadbad na ho aur yahan hum Adi ko ek baar sambhal lein. Phir sab theek ho jayega.
Ishita continues following Adi's car who is still driving recklessly.
Shagun: Adi toh Dilli ke bahar ja raha hai.
Ishita: I know. Pata nahi iske dimaag mein kya chal raha hai. Par hamre pass usko follow karne ke alawa aur koi option bhi nahi hai. Aliya ek kaam karo. Mere contacts me ja ke police commissioner ka number nikalo aur unhe call lagao aur phone speaker pe karo.
Aliya nods and checks Ishita's contacts and then she looks at Ishita confused.
Aliya: Amma Police Commissioner ke naam se do contacts saved hain. Kaun se contact ko call karun.
Ishita: What... oh... Damn... um... Aliya check karo kaun sa contact recently add kiya hai maine.
Aliya checks both contacts.
Aliya: Amma dusra wala do din pehle banaya tha aapne. Uspe call karun.
Ishita nods a yes and Aliya dials the number while putting the phone on speaker.
Police Commissioner: Hello.
Ishita: Commissioner Sahab mein Ishita Bhalla bol rahi hoon. Raman Bhalla, Pihu Indusrties ke CEO mere husband hain.
Police Commissioner: Oh yes Mrs. Bhalla, how can I help you?
Ishita: Sir is waqt mere pass apko detail mein samjhane ka time nahi hai. But mera Beta Aditya Bhalla...he is... he is going through a sort of mental breakdown aur usne ek ladki ko uske shaadi ke mandap se kidnap kar liya hai. Woh use apne car mein le ke Delhi ke bahaar ja raha hai aur hum uska peecha kar rahe hain. Mere dost Abhimanyu Raghav ne abhi aapke police force ko bhi contact kiya hai help ke liye. Jaise hi mera Beta apni car rokta hai main aapko isi number se apna GPS location bhej dungi. Please aap jald se jald apne police force ko yahan bhej dijiye. Sir mera Beta bahut hi pareshani mein hai aur disturbed hai lekin woh jan buch ke kabhi koi galat kaam nahi karta. Police Commissioner: Ok Mrs. Bhalla. Main kuch officials ko aapke direction mein deploy kar raha hoon. Aur jaise hi aapka beta kahin bhi ruke aap aapna location mujhe bhej dena. Ek baat bataye aap mein se kisi ke pass gun ya kuch hai use rokne ke liye?
Ishita: What?!? Nahi Sir. Hamare ghar mein, hamare family mein kisi ke pass koi gun nahi hai. Pata nahi mere Bete ko bhi gun kahan se mil gai hai.
Police Commissioner: Relax Mrs. Bhalla. Main aap logon ki safety ke liye puch raha tha. Please be careful. Main police task force aapke direction mein deploy kar raha hoon. Abhi ke liye aap apna current location GPS se send karye so that we know humein kis taraf aana hai.
Ishita: Thank you Sir. Main abhi bhejti hoon.
As soon as the call disconnects Aliya sends their location to the police commissioner.
Shagun: Ishita do din pehle tumhe Police Commissioner ke number ki kya zaroorat pad gai thi?
Ishita: Woh... actually Suraj ke mamle mein maine socha tha main Commissioner ke pass jaungi. Adi aur Kiran ke involvement ka pata chalne ke baad main koi risk nahi lena chahti thi but main kuch kar pati usse pehle yahan itna kuch ho gaya ki kabhi jane ka mauka hi nahi mila.
Aliya: Amma Adi ki gadi wahan left turn kar rahi hai.
Ishita: Adi wahan kahan ja raha hai? Wahan toh kuch bhi nahi. Sirf sunsaan pahadi ilaaka hai. Yeh chal kya raha hai Adi ke dimaag mein? Aliya jaise hi hum turn karenge tum phir hamara location Comissioner ko bhejna. Infact har 4-5 minute pe location bhejti rehna warna who hum tak pahuch nahi payenge.
Shagun: Main bhi Mani ko apna location bhejti rehti hoon. Warna woh bhi yahan tak nahi aa payega.
Ishita follows Adi for 15 minutes on the beaten rough road taking them way off course from the city. Adi stops the car at an isolated valley. He gets out of the car and drags Roshni out.
Roshni: Adi chodo mujhe! Yeh kya kar rahe ho tum?
Adi: Main acchi tarah se janta hoon ki Ishimaa ne ab tak police ko inform kar diya hoga. Unko lagta hai ki aisa kar ke woh mujhe rok payengi. Kabhi nahi!
He drags Roshni towards the end of the cliff.
Roshni: Adi chodo mujhe! Kya kar rahe ho!
Adi: SAMAJH MEIN NAHI AA RAHA ABHI TAK TUMHE ROSHNI. I LOVE YOU. AUR MAIN JANTA HOON KI TUM BHI MUJHSE UTNA HI PYAAR KARTI HO. AUR AB HUM WAHIN KARENGE JO DO PYAAR KARNE WALE KARTE HAI- EK SAATH AMAR HO JAYEGNE. AGAR TUM JEETE JI MERI NAHI HO SAKTI TOH HUM AMAR HO KE EK HONGE LEKIN MAIN TUMHE APNE AAP SE KABHI DOOR NAHI HONE DUNGA ROSHNI.
Roshni: Adi yeh sab joh tum kar rahe ho yeh pyaar hai hi nahi. Yeh sab tum isliye kar rahe ko taki tum apni family ke saamne jeet sako. Tumhara ego tumse yeh sab karwa raha hai. Koi pyaar nahi hai. Shantanu ne mujhe mere past ke saath accept kiya. Ise kehte hain unconditional pyaar. Tum aise yahan se mujhe dhakka mar ke aur khud mar ke mujhe kabhi hasil nahi kar paoge.
Adi: Theek hai agar main tumhe hasil nahi kar sakta toh tumhe aur KISI KA HONE BHI NAHI DUNGA!
Roshni: Jo tum karne ja rahe ho who saccha pyaar nahi hai Adi. Pyaar kisi ko haasil karna nahi hota hai. Pyaar ka matlab hota hai dusre ki khushi chahna. Dusre ko apne se upar rakhna. Lekin tumhare liye toh sirf tumhari zidd, tumhara ego matter karta hai.
Adi: CHUP!! EKDUM CHUP!! Kaisi besharam ho tum! Ek din mein pyaar khatam ho gaya? Pehle toh Adi... Adi karti thi aur ab achanak Shantanu... Shantanu... jahan tumhe apna fayda dikhta hai wahin chali jati ho tum... Kal tak mere saath mein fayda tha toh mere kareeb aai aur ab tumhe Shantanu mein apna fayda dikh raha hai toh uske gun gaa rahi ho! ROSHI YEH AB MERA JUNOON HAI AUR ISSE APNA JUNOON BANANE KE LIYE BHI TUMNE MUJHE MAJBOOR KIYA HAI!
Just then Ishita's car reaches there.
Ishita: Aliya, Shagun hamara location message kar ke hi car se nikalna aur kuch bhi ho jaye Adi ke raste mein mat aana. Main nahi chahti tum dono ko koi bhi chot lage. But agar mauka mile toh use apni baton se distract karna. Humein kuch bhi kar ke time waste karna hai so that police yahan aa sake. Aur Aliya Commissioner ko message karna ki police bina siren ke aaye. Adi ko pata chal gaya toh pata nahi woh kaise react karega.
Aliya: Ok Amma.
Shagun: Ishita tum bhi please careful rehna.
Ishita: Ya I will be.
Ishita gets off the car and starts running towards Adi and Roshni. As soon as she gets close enough that Adi can shoot her he points his gun at her.
ADI: BUS!! AGAR EK KADAM BHI AAGE BADHAYA NA AAPNE TOH MAIN GOLI CHALANE SE KATRAUNGA NAHI AAPKE UPAR!
By this time Aliya and Shagun have also come out of the car. They both are also stunned seeing Adi point the gun at Ishita at such a close range. Ishita joins her hands begging in front of Adi.
Ishita: Adi, please Roshni ko chod do. Please Adi! Tum galat kar rahe ho! Who tumse pyaar nahi karti tum zabardasti usse pyaar nahi karwa sakte ho! Please leave her Adi please!
Adi: Accha toh kya aap mujhse pyaar karte ho?
Ishita: Haan Adi Beta! Main tumhari Ishimaa hoon main tumse bahut pyaar karti hoon beta!
Adi: Toh aapko apne is bete ki kasam. Sach sach batao, aapne Police ko bulaya hai na?!? Bolo!!
Ishita once again takes two steps coming even closer to Adi and Roshni. Now she is close enough that if she lunges a little she can grab hold of them. But Adi points his gun once again at her, his finger now almost starting to press the trigger.
Adi: BUS ISHIMAA!! AUR PASS MAT ANA!!
Shagun: Adi! Yeh kya kar rahe ho? Tumhari Ishimaa khadi hai tumhare samne. Kya kuch nahi kiya isne tumhare liye. Yeh wahin Ishimaa hai jo tumhe bachane ke liye aag mein kud gai thi, girte hue building ke neeche dab gai thi par usne tumhe chot tak nahi lagne di Adi. Adi please beta! Don't do this! Gun hatao Adi.
Adi's eyes get emotional and teary for a second and he and Ishita stare at each other intently as if communicating through their eyes. Adi blinks to break his eye contact and once again the little emotion that had come to his eyes for a few seconds is replaced by anger, rage and fury.
Adi: NAHI! KOI MAA WAA NAHI HAI YEH MERI!!
He closes his eyes, and tears run out but when he opens them again his eyes are devoid of any emotion.
Adi: Inhe bus is Roshni ki aur us Aliya ki fikar hai! MERI KOI FIKAR NAHI HAI INHE! JAB MUJHE RAMAN BHALLA DHAKKE MAR KE GHAR SE BAHAR NIKAL RAHA THA TAB KAHAN THI AAP? BOLO ISHIMAA! TAB AAPKI MAMTA NAHI JAAGI?!? TAB APKO NAHI LAGA AAP MERI MAA HAI AUR APKO MERE SIDE, MERE SAATH KHADA HONA CHAHIYE THA!
Shagun: Tum galat kar rahe ho Adi! Tum apni zindagi barbaad kar doge Adi! Just stop this!! Gun hatao please Adi!
Adi: AREY CHUP!! AAP MUJHE SAHI GALAT KE BARE MEIN SIKHAOGE?!? AAP YEH JOH DOODH SE DHULI BANNE KI KOSHISH KAR RAHI HAIN AAP WOH HAIN NAHI! AAP BHI PEHLE AISI HI THI MOM! AAP BHI PEHLE SCHEMING, PLOTTING YEH SAB KARTI THI!
Shagun: Adi I know maine joh kiya woh galat tha! Adi meri glatiyon se seekho. Unhe dohrao mat please Beta! Don't ruin your life!! Chod do Roshni ko Adi please!!
Seeing Adi slightly distracted while taking to Shagun, Roshni tries to break free from his grip but he grabs on to her even more strongly than before.
Adi: TUM KAHAN JA RAHI HO! Aise kaise mujhse door ho jaogi?!?
Roshni: ADI TUM JEETE JI KYA MARNE KE BAAD BHI KABHI MUJHE HAASIL NAHI KAR PAOGE!! MERI AATMA BHI TUMSE JUDNE SE INKAAR KAR DEGI!!
Adi: Accha aisi baat hai!! Toh THEEK HAI!! HUM DONO KA MAR KE AMAR HO JANE KA PLAN CANCEL!! TUMHE MAIN ZINDA CHOD DUNGA LEKIN AISI HALAT KARKE CHODUNGA KI AAJ KE BAAD TUMHARE AAS PASS KOI NAHI AYEGA!
Adi shifts his gun to the other hand which he has wrapped around Roshni's shoulder holding her firmly in place and with his now free hand he pulls out the bottle of acid from his back pocket. Ishita looks on horrified!
Ishita: ADI!!
Adi: TUMNE MUJHE REJECT KIYA NA. AB MAIN TUMHE US LAYAK HI NAHI CHODUNGA KI TUMHE KOI ACCEPT KARE!
Adi gets distracted while trying to open the acid bottle. Seeing an opportunity Ishita runs towards him and tries to snatch the acid bottle so that she can throw it away. But Adi keeps his grip firmly on the bottle and in an effort to push Ishita away his gun falls. After a few more minutes of struggle Adi is finally able to push Ishita away who falls on the ground. Ishita is now crying helplessly lying on the ground. She looks up a little and her eyes fall on the gun lying a few feet away for her. Ishita scrambles a little and reaches for the gun. She stands up and steadies herself. She sees Adi almost done opening the bottle of acid. An unknown fear comes over her- fear not only for Roshni's safety but also the fear of the consequence this will have on Adi's life too. Desperate and helpless Ishita points the gun at Adi.
Ishita: RUK JAO ADI! ROSHNI KO KUCH MAT KARNA WARNA MAIN GOLI CHALA DUNGI.
Aliya and Shagun look at Ishita in disbelief and Adi too is taken aback, but only for a moment. He looks at the gun in Ishita's hand, notices how her hand is trembling a little and starts laughing like a mad man.
Adi: AAP MUJHPE... APNE BETE PE GOLI CHALAYENGI... WOH BHI IN... IN KAPTE HUE HATHOON KE SAATH... AREY AAPSE TOH TRIGER BHI NAHI DABEGA...
Ishita: Adi... please band karo yeh sab... dekho tum joh kar rahe ho woh bilkul galat hai... mujhe itna bhi majboor mat karo ki mujhe woh karna pade joh main karna nahi chahti...
Adi: Good!! VERY GOOD ISHIMAA!! AB AAPKI SAMAJH MEIN AYEGA KI KITNA MAJBOOR HO GAYA THA MAIN KI MUJHE SURAJ SE HAATH MILANA PADA. AAPKO TOH SIRF APNI BETIYON KI PADI HAI... RUHI, PIHU, ALIYA AUR AB YEH ROSHNI... JISE BACHANE KE LIYE AAP AAJ APNE BETE PE GOLI CHALANE KI BAAT KAR RAHI HAIN...
Ishita: Adi maine kaha na... I AM SORRY BETA! Please ek baar mere saath ghar chalo. I promise main sab theek kar dungi. Please Adi... ek baar apni Ishimaa pe bharosa karo...
Adi: NAHI HAI MUJHE BHAROSA KISI PE BHI... NA AAP PE... NA RAMAN BHALLA PE... NA BHAGWAAN PE... AUR NA HI IS ROSHNI PE... ISLIYE ISKA KHEL KHATAM SAMJHO... ULTI GINITI SHURU KAR DO ROSHNI... YOU ARE FINISHED... YOUR GAME IS OVER... I WILL FINISH YOU... TUMNE JO KIYA HAI USKI SAZA AB TUMHE MILKE RAHEGI... AUR TUMHE SAZA MAIN DILWAUNGA...
Adi shakes the acid a little in the bottle and once again starts opening the cap. Roshni screams at Ishita asking her to do something. Ishita points her gun at Adi and then at the last minute changes her mind, she points the gun right next to his feet and shoots so that the bullet hits the ground inches away from his shoes. Adi looks at the ground and then at Ishita stunned.
Adi: ISHIMAAA!! YEH GHATIYA TRICKS USE KARKE MUJHE DARANE KI KOSHISH KAR RAHI HO AAP? MAIN NAHI DARTA KYUNKI MAIN JANTA HOON AAP MUJHPE KABHI GOLI NAHI CHALA SAKTI.
Ishita frowns as she is very sure that Adi was so busy in opening the acid bottle that he did not see her change her aim at the very last second. Then she realises that he knows her too well which is how he was able to correctly guess what she was doing even though he wasn't looking at her. So she has to convince him that she meant to shoot him. She pulls her thoughts together and looks at Adi with a dead serious expression and lies to him with such confidence that it sounds like she is telling the truth.
Ishita: Adi, pehle kabhi gun nahi chalai hai maine isliye nishana chuk gaya. Lekin yakeen mano mera nishaana tum hi the. Adi please meri baat suno aur sanjho. Don't do this. Warna ab ki baar mera nishaana nahi chukega.
Adi: AAP JHOOT BOL RAHI HO! AAP MUJHPE GOLI CHALA HI NAHI SAKTI.
Ishita: Adi jab baat sahi aur galat ki hoti hai toh kaun apna aur kaun paraya nahi dekha jata. Tum jo kar rahe ho woh galat hai aur isliye tumhe rokne ke liye maine tumpe abhi goli chalai woh toh galti se nishana chuk gaya. I am warning you Adi. Yakeen nahi aata toh meri aakhoon mein dekho.
Adi looks into her eyes. Time seems to stop as they are both staring at each other. Roshni seeing an opportunity tries to break free but Adi is holding her so tightly that she is not able to break free yet again. However her sudden movement is enough to bring back Adi's focus from Ishita's eyes to Roshni.
AdI: BAHUT JALDI HAI NA TUMHE MERE CHANGUL SE BACH NIKALNE KI?!? RUKO TOH SAHI... JATE JATE EK FAREWELL GIFT TOH LETI JAO APNE IS AASHIQ KI TARAF SE.
Adi finally opens the cap and is about to throw the acid on her face. Shagun and Aliya scream at Adi asking him to not do it. Ishita's mind goes numb, everything around her blurs away and all she can see is her son about to commit a horrendous act which will destroy a girl completely. Suddenly her trembling hands are rock steady. Once again she takes aim at Adi and this time with full clarity she pulls the trigger.
The sound of the gunshot silences all the screaming voices. They all look in stunned silence as a bullet escapes Ishita's gun and within a split second makes contact with Adi hitting him at his stomach. Adi lets out a gasp of pain and the bottle of acid falls from his hand onto the ground, Roshni finally is able to break free from Adi's grip and as she runs away she pushes him away a little making Adi stumble a few steps back. He grabs hold of his stomach where he has been shot. His hand feels some liquid- he realises it is blood. The shock of this realisation makes him stumble a bit more and he takes a few steps swaying unsteadily to his left first and then right and then he finally falls on the ground. His body collapses on the ground and his head hits a huge rock with tremendous force and he loses consciousness then and there.
Ishita screams Adi's name and runs to him. She lifts his head from the rock and makes his head rest on his lap. She then grabs hold of his arm and is relieved to find a pulse. She lays his hand back down gently holds his face and starts crying- almost as if she is feeling his pain of being shot. Roshni is looking at Ishita and Adi in a state of shock. Shagun runs towards them and bends down towards Adi.
Shagun: ISHITA!! YEH KYA KIYA TUMNE!! ADI... ADI... UTHO BETA... ISHITA TUM PAGAL HO KYA... HOW COULD YOU?!?
Ishita: Doctor... doctor... KOI DOCTOR KO BULAO... ADI... ADI... ADI... AAKHEIN KHOLO PLEASE... ADI BETA... UTHO NA...
Just then as if the universe were also trying to help them, the police cars arrive. The police assess the scene and then immediately an ambulance is called. Adi is loaded in the ambulance and taken to the hospital. The police instructs Ishita, Shagun, Aliya to come to the police station but they are adamant that they first want to go to the hospital.
Roshni: Inspector app please inhe hospital jane dijiye. Inka wahan hona zada zaroori hai. Kidnap mujhe kiya gaya tha. Abhi ke liye main aapke saath police station chalti hoon. Main aapko apna statement deti hoon.
Inspector: Ok. Lekin aap teeno ke saath mera ek Sub-inspector hospital jayega.
Ishita: Ya... ok... jaisa aap kahein. Lekin please abhi humein hospital jane dijiye.
They all get into the car and drive away towards the hospital while Roshni gets into the police car and goes to the police station with them.
Juvenile Court:
The Bhallas and Iyers are standing outside the judge's chamber in stunned silence. Soon their lawyer comes out from the judges chamber.
Raman's Lawyer: I am sorry Mr. Bhalla. Re appeal karne ka koi fayda nahi hai. Verdict Ananya ki Maa ke statement ke basis pe liya gaya hai. Judge ka bhi manna hai ki uska faisla bilkul sahi hai aur mere itne saloon ke experience ke basis pe main aapko bata sakta hun ki yeh decision reverse nahi hoga. I am sorry.
Toshi: Lekin hamari phool si bacchi kaise rahegi humse itne door? Pata nahi kis halat mein...
Raman's Lawyer: Dekhye Madam. Remand home jail ki tarah nahi hota. Yeh ek hostel ki tarah hota hai. Aur jis remand home mein Pihu ko bheja gaya hai woh sach mein bahut accha hai. Main wahan ki Head Warden ko bahut acche tarah se janta hun. Main aapki aur koi help toh nahi kar sakta lekin main Head Warden ko Pihu ke case and iske wajah se woh jis trauma se guzri hai uske bare mein sab bataunga aur unse request karunga ki woh Pihu ka khas khayal rakhe. Ab aap log sab bhi please ghar jaiye. Yahan khade rehne se kuch nahi hoga.
Bhalla Ji: Thank you Wakil Sahab. Hum kya Pihu se mil payenge?
Raman's Lawyer: Sorry Bhalla Ji. Remand Home ka rule hai ki family wahan nahi aa sakti.
Madhavi: Matlab 6 months tak hum usse mil nahi sakte. Baat nahi kar sakte kya?
Raman's Lawyer: Yeh rule sirf Pihu ke liye hi nahi sabke liye hai isliye aap sab ko bhi ise follow karna hoga. Main abhi chalta hun. Mr. Raman Bhalla baki formalities ke liye I will be in touch with you.
Raman just nods too stunned to speak. Once the lawyer leaves slowly everyone also starts making their way to the parking lot. Romi and Mihika leave in their car along with Bhalla Ji and Toshi while Madhavi and Vishwa leave with Bala in his car. Raman and Ruhi walk their way to his car in silence. Suddenly Raman stops and looks at Ruhi worried.
Raman: Ishita... main Ishita ko kya jawab dunga? Pihu ko is anjaam se bachane ke liye woh khud jail chali gai thi. Aur maine kya kiya? Apni hi beti ko remand house bhej diya. Kaise kahunga usse ki Simmi ne... itna bada dhoka... woh mujhe kabhi maaf nahi karegi...
Ruhi: Papa aap jante ho Ishimaa aisi nahi hai. Unko bahut takleef hogi yeh sab janke lekin woh in sab ke liye aapko kabhi blame nahi karengi. Please be strong.
Raman: Haan. Ishita ke liye I have to be strong. Hum mil ke sath mein is time to kaat lenge aur jab Pihu wapas ayegi toh uski life itni khushiyoon se bhar denge ki woh peeche mudke is phase ko kabhi yaad nahi karegi.
Ruhi: Haan Papa. Hum sab hai na. Milke ek saath hum sab theek kar denge. Abhi ke liye chalye Ishimaa ke pass chalte hain. Hum milke unko sab batayenge.
Raman: Ya. Pihu ke liye itna kuch sacrifice kiya usne. Sabse zada takleef usi ko hogi. Humein unke pass hona chahiye.
Ruhi: Lekin Ishimaa hai kahan?
Raman: Haan. Actually. Kahan reh gai Madrasan? Ab tak toh Roshni ki shaadi bhi ho gai hogi. Use yahan pahuch jana chahiye tha.
Ruhi: Maybe traffic mein phas gai hongi. Main call karke dekhti hoon.
Raman: Actually Aliya ko call karo. Ishita toh drive kar rahi hogi woh call answer kaise karegi. Aur usse baat hogi toh sabse pehle woh case ke bare mein puchegi. Aur aisi news use phone pe dena sahi nahi hoga.
Ruhi nods and calls Aliya.
Ruhi: Hello Aliya... hospital... kya... kyun... ok... ok... hum hum aa rahe hain...
Ruhi hangs up and looks worriedly at Raman.
Raman: Kya hua Ruhi?
Ruhi: Papa... pata nahi exactly kya hua... lekin Aliya ne kaha hum abhi isi waqt city hospital aa jaye aur woh bahut ghabrai hui sound kar rahi thi...
Raman: What?!? Hospital?!? Kahin Ishita toh... aaj morning bhi Ruhi Ishita ajeeb behave kar rahi thi...kahin zada stress mein uska BP dobara shoot up toh nahi kar gaya?!?
Ruhi: Relax Papa! Ishimaa ko kuch nahi hua hoga. Chalo hum seedhe hospital chalte hain. Yahan khade khade baat karne se kuch nahi hoga. Dadi aur sab toh dusre cars mein nikal gaye. Main Dadi ko aur Patti ko bhi call karti hoon so that woh log bhi directly city hospital aa jaye.
Raman: First get in the car. Calls tum raste mein bhi kar sakti ho.
City Hospital:
Raman and Ruhi rush into the hospital and then look around not knowing where to go.
Raman: Ruhi kahan hai sab? Kahan jana hai?
Ruhi calls Aliya who asks them to come to the fifth floor. They rush towards the elevator. The elevator is taking ages but they finally are able to get in and Raman feels like it is taking him a lifetime to get to Ishita. As the elevator goes up Raman is praying that nothing has happened to Ishita and that everything is ok.
Raman and Ruhi get off the fifth floor and look around. Raman scans the area and immediately he spots Ishita. An instant weight is lifted off his shoulder when he first sees her but then he notices her more carefully. She is standing leaning against the wall looking absolutely devastated and as if she has been crying hysterically. Confused at her state he quickly walks towards her.
Ishita is leaning against the wall, for her feet are trembling so much that she might collapse any second. Her heart is beating a thousand times a minute as she is trying to process what has just happened. Everything seems like a blur in her mind one second yet the next second everything seems crystal clear to her. Nothing is able to calm her mind or heart and then out of the blue a sense of peace comes over her, as if she is in the presence of some positive energy and she knows in that instant without even looking around that he is here. Raman is here! She looks around with big wide eyes and within a fraction of a second she sees him hurrying towards her. Her feet are still trembling but she musters the will power to take a few shaky steps and walk towards him. Seeing her stumble he reaches out for her and holds her, stopping her from falling. She looks at him with big, frightful eyes and then just hugs him as she breaks down completely crying unconsolably. Raman is stunned for he has never seen Ishita this devastated, he thinks that maybe somehow the news about Pihu has reached her beforehand which is why she is so upset. He hugs her back tightly, noticing that she is literally trembling from head to toe. He softly rubs her back trying to get her from stopping to tremble but she is a mess sobbing uncontrollably and unconsolably.
Raman: Ishita... Ishita... It's ok. Calm down please!
Ishita hold him tighter and just cries. After two minutes or so Raman pulls away and cups her face in his hands, forcing her to look at him. He wipes the tears rolling on her cheeks with his thumbs and then looks her in the eye.
Raman: Ishita... tum toh theek ho. Thank God! Aliya ne Ruhi se kaha ki hospital aa jao toh main toh dar hi gaya tha. Mujhe laga tumhara shayad BP phir se shoot up ho gaya isliye tumhe yahan lana pada.
Raman pulls her close, hugging her again briefly and kisses the top of the head. He once again pulls away and kisses her on her forehead before he cups her face softly in his hands again and talks to her.
Raman: Lekin agar tum theek ho toh phir hospital mein kya kar rahi ho?
Just the Ruhi comes there. Ishita spots her standing behind Raman and immediately she pulls her daughter into a big rib-crushing hug as fresh tears roll out of her eyes.
Ruhi: Ishimaa... kya hua? Aap aise... aap ro kyun rahi ho? Sab theek toh hai na?
Ishita lets go of Ruhi and looks around as if searching for someone. Finally she finds her words and is able to speak.
Ishita: Pihu... Pihu... Pihu... Pihu kahan hai?
Ishita looks at Ruhi and then at Raman.
Raman stares at Ishita and in an instant Ishita can sense that something is not right. She worriedly looks at Raman.
Ishita: Raman... Pihu... Pihu kahan hai... aapke saath nahi hai... kyun... kaise? Kahan hai Pihu.
Raman and Ishita look at each other. Both can sense that they are about to receive some unpleasant news but they don't know what it is yet. Neither is aware of the fact that they both have such heartbreaking news for the other and that the combined consequences of all the happenings of the day so far could potentially change the course of their life, taking them down a road they had never imagined they would walk down ever in their life.
