Maybe he has a dark side which no one knows and he is pretending to be goody-goody on the surface... So he will be the last person anyone can doubt for this situation of Kanchan...

Though we are yet to see if he (or any other culprit) saw Kanchan only on that time thinking as an easy prey and assualted her...or he has an obsession with her from the beginning...
