Part 21
Ishita don't know how to react ,she immediately got down of the bed and ran to another room . She closed the door behind her and broke into tears recalling the pain she has gone through because of her disability . She recalled all the time she has been rejected for the thing for which she was not responsible . She recalled how subbu left him on her engagement day and the bitter words his mother had spoke for her . She cried for long ,hiding her face in between her legs ,suddenly she reminds that Raman don't know about her disability ,he hates shagun because she has betrayed her but what about her . He don't know anything about her disability as his parents never told him. what if Raman thinks that she too had betrayed him like shagun . Last time shagun has left him ,what if he leaves her after knowing her truth ,blaming her for marrying him without disclosing her disability . The fear of loosing him and ruhi engulfed her,she cried more thinking of the worst . She tried to compose herself but she was not getting over the fear of loosing Raman ,she cried more and more , and finally slept in that room itself ,getting exhausted by continues cries as well as the fear or Raman's reaction after knowing about the truth .
Next morning Raman got up at the his time and went for freshening . After completing his morning chores he came out of the room thinking ishita must be in kitchen and thought to tell her to make morning tea for him . Thinking so he went to kitchen but didn't found ishita there,he got confused and thought " ishita is sleeping till now , had I checked her ".
Thinking so he went to check her in his room and saw ishita's place was empty, he thought may be she is in washroom but saw its door was open ,he then again ran out and called her name ,then went to check her in another room and got shock,finding her sleeping in sitting position that too in corner, curling into herself.He ran to her , shook her and was about to ask her but find her body burning with fever . He immediately picked her in his arms and took her to bed ,lays her gently and called the doctor .
Then he brought cold water and kept cold eater strips on her forehead so that her fever should come down . Soon ruhi too got up ,she saw ishita's state and asked " papa mamma ko kya hua ".
R- kuch nahi beta mumma ko thoda fever hai ,nothing else . bhi I had called doctor uncle ,he will check her and give her medicine ,then mamma will be ok . Ruhi too started helping Raman ,asking " how does this happened papa ".
R- don't know rooh ,will ask your mamma once she will wake .
They were still talking when the door bell rang ,Raman went to open the door. It was doctor ,he brought him in and told ruhi to go and freshen up,till doctor is checking ishita . She nodded obediently and went for freshening while ,doctor checked her ,gave some injections to her and went saying, it was mere fever and will be okay soon . He instructed Raman to take care of ishita and left ,instructing Raman to keep him informing about her health . The doctor went while Raman waited for ruhi to come out . Soon ruhi came out of the washroom ,Raman instructed ruhi to sit beside ishita while he is going to bring some breakfast for them and ishita's medicine .
Ruhi nodded and Raman went down , while she sat beside ishita and continued keeping the wet water strips . After about fifteen minutes Raman returned with ishita's medicines ,bread and eggs . He asked ruhi about ishita ,for which she told that ,she is still sleeping . Raman called ruhi to have breakfast and let ishita rest . Ruhi nodded and both father daughter duo went to kitchen ,Raman made ruhi sit in the slab like she was sitting another day and make toast and omelette for themselves . He then again went to check ishita ,she was still sleeping . He came out again and both father and daughter had their breakfast together , both were too much concerned for her, but Raman was thinking why this all happened .
He was getting restless thinking that may be this had happened because of their last night conversation ,he was getting worried of ishita and was just praying that once she get up ,they will clear all the differences between them and also will try to sort them out . He just wanted her to be okay for once ,he even called his office and took leave for two days making his office people surprised as it was the first time he was taking leave being in Mumbai.
After having breakfast ,ruhi and Raman spend their whole time sitting beside ishita . Finally in afternoon ishita opened her eyes ,Ruman almost ran to her ,ruhi hugged ishita tight and spoke
" what happened to you mumma ".
Ishita saw towards Raman who was equally worried like ruhi but was silent . She kissed ruhis forehead and spoke
" kuch nahi bachche ,I m ok bas thosa sa fever ho gaya tha ."
Raman let ishru talk and went out of the room while ishita's eyes followed him ,she so wanted to talk to him but was fearing too ,thinking about his reaction moreover this was a adult talk and ruhi was with them . Soon Raman returned with a glass of juice and some freshly chopped fruits . He didn't talked to her and started feeding her fruits , she him but he was already looking at her ,both shared a short eye lock which Raman broke and continued feeding her . Soon he fed her the fruits and passed the juice to her ,she denying making faces ,when Raman told " have it ,you have to take your medicines ".
Ishita made faces and had the juice while ruhi giggled ,seeing ishita making faces to have something and getting scolded by his papa . Then Raman told ishita to rest ,she lays down ,though both of them wanted to talk much but was silent due to ruhi . They were always having eyes on each other but couldn't talk . After much time ishita asked being concerned " oops main to bhool gayi ,did you people had something . how can you have anything when I didn't made it ,you people wait ,I will soon make something "
Saying so he started getting up when raman spoke " jyada jhaasi ki raani banne ki zaroorat nahi hai ,we had our breakfast and will have something in lunch too ,you just rest ,we need to talk much ".
She just nodded and was again getting up ,he saw her and asked " now where are you going ,I told you na ,we will arrange ".
I- I need to use washroom .
R- ohh .
Saying so he sat in her place but noticed ishita was getting difficulty in getting up ,she got up and was about to fall when Raman held her ,he supported her and took her to washroom .She went inside while he waited for her ,till she completed her work . He then took her to bed and told her to rest . She lays on bed and tried to sleep but couldn't as she has slept much and wanted to talk to Raman everything .
She saw Raman doing something in his mobile while a fresh set of tears started flowing from her eyes ,she was about to wipe it but before that,he wiped them and signalled her not to cry.She wiped her tear but again they got filled ,finally she closed her eyes and slept in sometimes ,though the tears still were coming out from the cores of her eyes making Raman worried more .
