Birthday Special* Peep-In

The promos.

1. The promos got me attracted to the show because I wanted to see how Indian TV soaps can tackle the love and warmth of the three Oberoi brothers as shown in the promos...for the first time I was intrigued how Indian TV soap doesn't promote its new story with the main leads, and that's what made me start watching it in the first place.

2. Initially I liked all the characters ... all the way from Daadi to the Oberoi parents (especially Tej Singh Oberoi) to the Oberoi brothers to our khirkitodh Anika to our spunky lil Saahil...even Swetlana for that matter...but of course over time I started loving the unexpected and spontaneous Anika more than everyone else! She's truly something...her bestest trait was her spontaneity...her reactions were so out of the box n priceless...whether it was in her arguments with SSO, emotional moments, falling in love with SSO, n even while living her marital life! She was the one who not only surprised us (viewers) but also SSO himself...I still remember the reply she gave to Shivaay when he tells her how nobody should ever come in between him n his brothers...it was so unexpected that I could not but fall in love with her...n it was clearly visible in Shivaay's reaction as well...her non judgmental, selfless n kind nature is what made Shivaay to fall in love with her! But I'm so sad how the redux version is not taking that aspect into account when defining Anika's characterisation :( I hope they somehow bring that back in her...keeping my fingers crossed of course!

3. Daksh no doubt about that...even Veer, Swetlana, Roop, Bua Maa were not as cringeworthy as D was!

4. There are several: their pre-wedding interactions, post-wedding discovering of love for each other, but the best one for me is the Vanvaas track...n the best part about that track is the trust of OBros n undying love and support of Shivika for each other...the Vanvaas track was all about the unwavering belief of OBros...obviously it was something that got me attracted to the show for the first time...n when I was getting that in abundance during that track I was on cloud nine :D

5. O Jaana definitely...but then every other character's score is so aptly composed...may it be the Saathiya one for Rikaara, OBros Zindagi mil ke bitaayein gain n Lafzon ka yeh rishta Nahin, the one for Tej, one for Rudy, the one for Swetlana, n even the one for Daksh...but O Jaana is my favourite after Rabba Ve from IPK1 (Y)

I just hope the new redux can live up to the toppling high expectations the previous IB has set for us :)
